Q. What's changed in Apache BS6 and when it will be launched?
  • The power and torque have been reduced in the BS 6 version. The look has been facelifted and gives more premium feel to the machine. Headlight is upgraded from halogen to full LED which has better luminance. There is no carburetor variant in BS6 as Fi is kept standard. Price for dual disc variant has got up by around 8000. Exhaust has been made more crispier which resembles to KTM. The electric start mechanism has improved, you hear almost no motor noise on pressing the start button. The engine is more tuned to race and RTFi (race tuned fuel injection) has been added. Overall BS6 variant is 30-40% better
  • The most exciting update for the RTR 160 is definitely the bump in power. While the current-gen RTR 160’s engine is the familiar 159.7cc air-cooled one, it now makes 16.04PS and 13.85Nm, 0.51PS more but 0.05Nm less than its predecessor. The new bike is also 2kg lighter than the outgoing model. TVS has replaced the previous-gen RTR 160’s semi-analogue cluster with a new digital unit that facilitates Bluetooth connectivity and also boasts TVS’ SmartXonnect tech with voice assist, a segment-first feature. Also on offer are features like turn-by-turn navigation, gear position indicator and shift assist, call and notification alerts and more. That said, only the top-of-the-line 2022 RTR 160 gets Bluetooth connectivity. The LCD console also has three riding modes: Sport, Urban and Rain, which can be changed on-the-fly, and alter the throttle mapping as well as ABS sensitivity. It has already been launched. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details.
  • It don't have any more change in bs4 you get blackish light in speedometer and now you will get the blue light the major change in the bike is it's bs6 engine and some little amount of cut and sketch to give the more sporty look to the bike and no more.

Q. Which is the better option for family bike between Honda unicorn and TV's Apache 160?
  • Among the two, if you are looking for a calm and comfortable bike with a reliable and refined engine, then the Honda Unicorn would be a good option. Unicorn has always been the go-to bike if you were planning to buy a 150cc commuter and with the BS6 update, the Unicorn now gets a larger 163cc fuel-injected, air-cooled engine. With the old-school styling, it still remains a well-rounded motorcycle. On the other hand, if you are looking for sporty motorcycle with bits of modern elements, then you may opt for the TVS Apache RTR 160. Given the RTR 160 2V BS6’s low pricing, it is a viable and relevant stepping stone into the 160cc segment. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details.Read More: - Honda Unicorn vs TVS Apache RTR 160

  • Hey riders siddharth here i would like to share my experience with ola service team.On 5th feb 2022 i got my ola s1 pro delivered. But unfortunately on 6th feb me and my dad met with an accident with our s1 pro because my dad applied the brake too hard (because he was not use to the disc brakes) and we fell on road due to which we got hurt and our scooter was also scratched on several parts (side panel, Front panel, Upper headlight cover panel) i was quite upset about the myths that ola is a new company and the service would be not up to the mark.On the next morning i called my brand champion billal regarding this but he asked me to call the service support number then i called customer care where he registered my complaint and said that our service executive will call you shortly. After an hour the service executive called me and asked me to send images of damaged parts and insurance policy.I sent him all the things and then after half an hour he called me and asked me to bring the scooter or get the rsa (road side assistance) but i preferred taking my scooter to the sanathal service centre.I approached them at sanathal and they collected the required documents and asked me to wait till the scooter is ready. On 12th feb they called me and said that your scooter is ready and you can take your scooter back.I was not excepting that my scooter will come within a week but it happened and the process was very smooth and fast each and every staff of service team was very professional and helpful at any point of time.I got my scooter and it was up to mark as expected. At last i would thank ola service team(sanket and akshay) and my brand champion(bilal) to co-operate and making the process flawless.

  • Ola s1 is game changer- ola electric has change the entire game by future rich technology they provide with these two newer version of scooter. In metro city there might be a bit problem of charging because of high rise and flat system but hyper charge stations comes first to them only.S1 pro promises the riding range of about 180 km on paper. As average daily commute of 22 kms for full 7 days considering we may require only max once in a week or more charging.

  • Ola s1 impressive features- ola s1 has a lot of features which includes an all-led lighting system, A massive 36-litre under-seat storage. I am worried about the build quality of the scooter. I hope it does not disappoint.

  • RTR 160 is my second bike. First one was Pulsar 150 by Bajaj. Actually i was looking for the first model of Apache RTR, the yellow beauty but landed in next model RTR 160. To be true i was totally into RTR because of the advertisement, in which the two glowing eyes in the dark. Remembering those days, trying to do the same during our night rides. During the initial time, i was getting a vibration between 58 and 64 speed, but after the 3rd service the issue was all gone. Till date my best companion for roads and my solo trips. Iam not speed fan so do not know much about RTR performance over 80.

  • First pick for me when am looking for a bike!Am a fan of TVS as my father and brother have been using TVS bikes from long time..It got better braking and handling compared to Pulsars' or Hero bikes(My personal opinion though).Styling, Riding dynamics, performance everything makes this one a good bike among 150-160CC segments.I used it for city commute and highway rides as well, pretty satisfied with the bike in terms of mileage, performance and handling.

  • I have an amazing experience with apache RTR 160. I have done more than 1lacs and 36 thousand kilometers and mine is a 2009 model RTR. still I don"t face any knocking and any power loss in my bike while my daily commute includes 20-30kms of daily ride including off roads and some minor stunts as well... I"m getting a good mileage of 45-46 kmpl overall and after sales and service department of TVS deserves a salute, the parts are pocket friendly and have a very good quality, no issues in availability of parts and overall a very bike for those who want a good entry level bike which is pocket friendly and easy to maintain. great work and great machine by TVS.I am so happy with TVS that my first bike was RTR 160 in 2009, then I bought a RTR160 dual disc variant in 2013, then I bought RTR180 in 2017, and now RTR200 in 2018...

  • Best performimg bike ever-tvs apache rtr 160 offers impressive performance, Everyday practicality, And with prices starting at rs 1.08 lakh, Great value for money. The bike has a suspension setup that is quite adept at going around corners almost intuitively. With the 2021 model, Tvs also managed to shave off 2kg, And while it's not a difference you'll immediately notice, It does play a part. The only downside to the comfort is the ergonomics.
