    Q. What is difference between ABS and STD?
    • Anti lock braking system or ABS was been there since a very long time back but not so popular in India mainly because of the price,but was a very useful safety features. In ABS, when the brake was suddenly pressed, the wheel will not lock up and your tyres will not skid.This is very useful during rain or on muddy surfaces where traction are low.The sensor present on the wheel itself detect any sudden changes in wheel speed or if the wheel is going to lose traction.It will help you by engaging and disengaging brakes automatically so you can stop safely without skidding. In non abs, braking was more risky at high speeds and stopping distance is much longer then an abs version. The only difference in a pulsar220 is that in an ABS version there will be ABS sensor at the front disc and real wheel lift protection was there which is much safer.It is a single channel abs because of price concern but is more then enough.

    • ABS - Antilock Braking System.STD - Standard.ABS works well in every condition.STD also works well but there are chances of getting brake seized, specially the front one.Bikes which can conquer above 100km/hr needs ABS.

    Q. I have 3 choices. Gixxer SF150, R15 V3, Pulsar RS200. My priorities are stability, handling, comfort and mileage. Which one should I buy? All of the three cost almost the same.
    • Suzuki Gixxer SF could be a good option if you are looking for a daily commuter with good handling, stability, comfort and decent mileage figures.     Q. What is the difference between BS6 compliance and BS4 engine? Hornet gives around 15 BHP and Gixxer around 14BHP costing almost 20k more, is it worth buying and can anyone tell me about the naked model will the same engine to be used and will it be BS4 or BS6?
    • BS stands for the Bharat Stage emission norms which are set standards by the government regarding the environmental pollution by the combustion of fuel into the internal combustion engines. The BSVI emission norms are about to kick in the April 2020 due to the rise in the pollution which is eventually leading to the global warming therefore the government has taken a bold step to shift over to directly BS VI emission norms while skipping the BS V. As the engines made BSVI compliant the fuel is also made to be BS VI compliant by decreasing the amount of sulphur substantially lower than that offered in BS IV fuel. Thus, the engines will get a more refined fuel which would eventually lead to exhale a less polluted air through the exhaust of the vehicles. The BSIV cars which are currently available in the market would have no damage to their engines with the BS VI fuel, neither the BS VI fuel on a BS IV engine help the engine to get a cleaner emission. The Honda Hornet and Suzuki Gixxer SF are two different bikes ergonomically. Moreover, the Gixxer SF has a fuel injected engine with a new finely tuned engine. The engine technology used on the Gixxer SF is different from that used on the Honda Hornet. The Suspension is all new with a better comfort which justifies the cost of the bike.
