My Journey with the Renault Kiger

After spending a considerable amount of time with my Renault KigerI feel like I have got to know this car inside out. The Kiger stands out with its bold styling and the generous space it offers both in terms of passenger comfort and boot capacity. However it was not all smooth sailing. Driving in the orderless traffic of Indian cities the compact dimensions and light steering of the Kiger were a blessing but the ride quality can feel a bit irritable on uneven roads. Overall for its price the Kiger offers a compelling package but does come with its set of compromises.

The kiger will wow you with the grip it offers and the degree to which the body roll is controlled if you demonstrate some turns. It is ideal for driving around town because the steering is relatively light at low speeds, But because it requires too many rotations from lock to lock, It falls short of being an enjoyable handling package.

See folks buying experience

See folks buying experience was like revisiting an old good showroom where the team n our family have known us for a long time.Well i am here to say about the driving section only:- see on the first delivery of my car i was the first to drive straight out from the showroom.Driving at city is easy n good. It's a very good practical car to my eyes compared to its own magnite.I have used n familiarise all the drive modes, Feature offer.Well i have bought the turbo variant because i enjoy driving punchy hp with good engi e for the price.100hp dual tone.Sitting three in back is decent but now wow.It felt like driving mini duster rxz instead of 110hp.Eco n normal mode have a minimal engine response diff.Sports n ecco is significant.Being compact suv it's nimbal to drive compared to duster.Turbo is a rev happy budget engine, Turbo kicks around 2000-2500rpm all the way to red line.At night i was shocked to get 19.99kmpl on ecco mode drive, Normal driving around 19kmpl.City driving at around 10-12kmpl around.Light isn't something i am happy so much 😞.

Needed mudflaps

4.3

The renault kiger turbo performance is impressive on paper as well as on the road.Acceleration is akin to the vw polo tsi. This vehicle seems big and bulky yet it is lighter than most cars that 'look' smaller.Comfort levels are more than sufficient for long road trips because of the spacious cabin and modern ergonomics. The only problem i have so far (my mileage is only 1200 km) is the lack of much needed mudflaps all round as well as it not having a boot light, Otherwise for the price, It is value for money.
