Here's what the Hosur-based manufacturer could bring to the table next year

TVS is one of the few manufacturers that keeps bringing something new and exciting to the table every year. Be it a sporty streetfighter, electric or just two-wheelers with a bunch of new segment-first features. 2020 has been a learning curve for everyone, including TVS, and the forthcoming year could bear the fruits of its labour. So let’s take a look at what the Hosur brand could have in store for us in 2021.

Zeppelin R

Expected Price - Rs 1.5 lakh
Expected launch - Q2 2021

It’s been a long time coming but 2021 could be the year we finally get to see the production model of the Zeppelin. TVS already trademarked the name ‘Zeppelin R’ a couple of months ago which reinforces this thought. What’s so special about TVS’ very first cruiser? Head here to find out.

Raider

Expected Price - Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 1.6 lakh
Expected launch - Q3 2021

TVS already has some expertise in the off-road genre thanks to its Dakar exploits. It recently trademarked the name ‘Raider’ which suggests we could hopefully see these learnings transition to a road-legal ADV, possibly as early as 2021. Retron

Expected Price - Too early to comment
Expected launch - Q3 2021

Retro is the new modern! Almost every two-wheeler manufacturer ranging from Hero to Honda seem to be taking interest in this genre lately. TVS too may join the hype with the Retron, a retro bike that could be based on either the Apache RTR 160 or the Radeon. What could we expect from the bike? Head here to check it out.

Fiero 125

Expected Price - Rs 70,000 to 75,000

The name rings a bell, doesn’t it? That’s because TVS once sold the Fiero in India and it now intends to revive this name with a smaller 125cc engine. What makes us think so? Well, the brand recently trademarked the name Fiero 125. Here’s everything you need to know about the bike.

Creon

Expected Price - Rs 1.2 lakh - Rs 1.3 lakh
Expected launch - Q3 2021

Will we finally see the production version of the Creon in 2021? Possibly. We could see a toned-down version of the scooter, which would put TVS in a better position to take on rivals Bajaj and Ather who have been gaining steam in the electric space. TVS already has the iQube, but it still needs a scooter that could help it gain some footing in the ever-growing electric space. More details here.

2021 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V With SmartXonnect

Expected Price - Rs 1.14 lakh
Expected launch - Q1 2021

TVS has launched the 2021 Apache RTR 160 4V with SmartXonnect in Bangladesh, so it's expected to be launched in India too. The Smartphone compatible console will enable riders to access race telemetry, lean angle mode, turn-by-turn navigation, call/SMS alerts via a dedicated info/control switch on the left-hand-side switchgear.

TVS Apache RTR 310

Expected Price - 2.3 lakh
Expected launch - Q4 2021

We have reason to believe TVS is working on an Apache RR 310 BS6-based naked streetfighter. Heck, it’s only logical! Expect the upcoming RTR 310 to draw inspiration from the current Apache lineup, especially the RTR 200 4V. In essence, a small headlamp as well as large and sharp tank extensions with a tail section similar to the Apache RR 310 BS6. Goes without saying, the engine and underpinnings will be carried over from its faired sibling.
