Updated Pulsar RS200 spotted testing
Upcoming Pulsar NS200 reaches dealership, details revealed
Official launch to take place in a few days
Bajaj Auto is on an update spree with its Pulsar range, and two of its popular 200cc motorcycles are now in the spotlight. The updated Pulsar RS200 has been spotted testing with several new features, while bookings for the upcoming Pulsar NS200 have opened at select dealerships. Both motorcycles are set to get significant upgrades to their hardware and electronics.

The biggest change spotted on the updated Pulsar RS200 is the addition of an upside-down fork. The current motorcycle uses conventional telescopic fork setup, so this should be a notable upgrade to its front-end hardware. The RS200 was also seen with a new TFT instrument console, along with updated switchgear featuring directional controls. A dedicated hazard-light switch is also visible, while adjustable clutch and brake levers are another new addition. There is also a covered charging port, which is likely to be a USB Type-C unit. The familiar full-fairing design, twin-projector headlights and split-seat layout have been retained.

The engine is expected to remain largely unchanged, but it could receive a power bump, same as the NS200. The existing 200 cc motor produces 24.5 PS and paired with a six-speed gearbox. Navigation, ride-by-wire and switchable traction control could also be offered, although these features are yet to be confirmed. The current RS200 is priced from Rs 1,80,528, (ex-showroom), and is available in three colours. The updated version is expected to launch soon.

The updated Pulsar NS200 appears to be getting an even more comprehensive upgrade. Bookings have opened at select dealerships, with dealer posters revealing several of its new features. The biggest highlight is the addition of a quickshifter or sports-shift as (Bajaj calls it), which has already made its way onto the larger Pulsar NS400Z. The updated NS200 is also listed with a ride-by-wire throttle, switchable traction control and four ride modes. The NS200 was also seen with a 5-inch TFT instrument console with Google Maps mirroring. While other additions include USB Type-C charging and updated switchgear.

The NS200 is also set to receive 37 mm USD fork and radial tyres. The motorcycle will retain its familiar muscular design and split-seat layout, but a new Nardo Grey colour with red alloy wheels will give it a sportier appearance.

The dealer material also mentions 25.5 PS, suggesting that the NS200 could get a power bump over the current model’s 24.5 PS output. However, Bajaj is yet to officially confirm the final specifications. Currently the NS200 is priced at Rs 1,38,302 (ex-showroom).
Bajaj has not announced the launch timelines for either motorcycle yet. However, with the RS200 already undergoing road testing and NS200 bookings opening at select dealerships, both updated Pulsars appear to be nearing their respective launches. Bajaj seems to be giving its 200 cc Pulsars a major technology boost. The RS200 gets new hardware and a more modern cockpit, while the NS200 could become one of the most feature-packed motorcycles in its segment with a quickshifter, ride modes, traction control and a TFT console. With these updates, both bikes are expected to receive a price bump of about Rs 4,000 to Rs 5,000.
