With the discounts, the bikes are a lot more affordable than before. That said, some models in the lineup are way too expensive when compared to rivals. The Kawasaki Ninja 300, for example, is priced at Rs 3,13,000 (ex-showroom, after discount), which makes it Rs 38,000 more expensive than its closest rival the TVS Apache RR 310. When comparing both, it is also clear that the Apache RR 310 has a lot more to offer.
The RR 310’s 312cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine produces 38PS and 29Nm, whereas the Ninja 300’s 296cc, liquid-cooled, parallel twin engine outputs 39PS and 26.1Nm. The difference in power is not that massive but the RR 310 manages to make up for this by offering a lot more features.
The list includes everything from traction control, cornering ABS to riding modes and more. Customers can also go for the quickshifter variant which comes at Rs 2,98,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The same is true for the Kawasaki Ninja 500, which is Rs 94,000 more expensive (after discounts) than its closest rival the Aprilia RS 457. The RS 457 has a lot more features on offer including a traction control system and riding modes.
In terms of performance, the Ninja 500 lags behind. It is powered by a liquid-cooled, parallel twin motor making 45.4PS at 9000rpm and 42.6Nm at 6000rpm. Which is 1.3PS and 0.9Nm less than the Aprilia Rs 457.
Overall, the best deal among the bikes listed is the Kawasaki Z900. It is the most affordable inline 4 superbike in India currently and makes sense if you are looking to get an affordable big bike.
