Quick Highlights:
Gets a 421cc liquid-cooled, DOHC engine producing 46.6PS and 38Nm
Rally-inspired design with fully adjustable KYB suspension
Gets four ride modes, multiple levels of traction control and ABS modes
Hero MotoCorp has taken the wraps off the all-new Xpulse 450 at EICMA 2026, and this is easily the biggest and most powerful Xpulse yet! The new adventure motorcycle has been developed from the ground up, with inputs from Hero MotoSports Team Rally, and looks ready to take on some serious off-road challenges. Here's everything you need to know about the new flagship:
The Hero Xpulse 450 gets a proper rally-bike-inspired design, with a tall front end, a large windscreen that is expected to be adjustable, and a slim profile. The motorcycle also features a long, scooped-out single-piece seat, which should offer riders plenty of room to move around while tackling challenging terrain.

The overall design looks considerably more aggressive than the Xpulse 210, with the new flagship adopting a more serious adventure-rally stance.
The Hero bike rides on tubeless spoke wheels, with a 21-inch front and a 17-inch rear wheel. This setup should make it well-suited for off-road riding, while the tubeless tyres will make repairing punctures an easy process.
Powering the Hero Xpulse 450 is a new 421cc, liquid-cooled, 4-valve, DOHC engine. This makes it the most powerful motorcycle in Hero's portfolio.

Hero says the motorcycle has been developed with direct inputs from its Hero MotoSports Team Rally, which competes in international rally events. This should translate into a more focused approach to off-road performance and capability.
The Hero Xpulse 450 gets a TFT instrument console, which will offer loads of connectivity and riding-related features.
The motorcycle gets four ride modes: Rain, Road, Trail and Off-road. It also features multiple levels of traction control, throttle maps and ABS modes, allowing riders to tailor the motorcycle's behaviour according to the terrain and riding conditions.

One of the biggest highlights is the category-first Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration. This should make the Xpulse 450 particularly appealing to riders who rely on smartphone-based navigation during long-distance adventures. The bike also gets a 12-volt and a USB charging port.
The Xpulse 450 gets fully adjustable suspension. At the front, the motorcycle gets a 43mm KYB USD fork with 225 mm of wheel travel. The setup features 22-step compression and rebound damping adjustment.
While the specifications for the rear suspension have not been revealed yet, the motorcycle is expected to offer substantial travel and adjustability at both ends.

Hero has not revealed all the specifications of the Xpulse 450 yet. However, the motorcycle is expected to launch in India sometime early next year. That said, the bike will first launch overseas and eventually make its way to our shores.
We expect the Hero Xpulse 450 to be priced around Rs 3 lakh (ex-showroom), which would put it in direct competition with the KTM 390 Adventure S and the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.
With a new 421cc engine, rally-inspired design, fully adjustable suspension and a massive electronics package, the Xpulse 450 is one of the most significant bikes to come out of Hero MotoCorp in recent years. If Hero manages to get the pricing right, it could give the established middleweight adventure bikes a serious run for their money.
