Despite substantial updates to its equipment, the new KTM 200 Duke is Rs 1,552 more expensive than the older bike.
What's New

The biggest update on the KTM 200 Duke is the addition of a ride-by-wire throttle, which replaces the cable-actuated throttle on the old bike. The ride-by-wire throttle enables two riding modes: Street and Rain, with the Rain mode being more linear, while the Street mode is more aggressive. The bike also gets new switchgear, with a hazard light switch now being standard.
The addition of a ride-by-wire throttle has also enabled KTM to equip the bike with a bidirectional quickshifter, meaning you can upshift and downshift without using the clutch. KTM has also given the bike traction control, which should make it safer to ride in rainy conditions.

Another major change is on the hardware front. Earlier, KTM had reduced the size of the front fork on the 200 Duke, and the rear tyre was also reduced to a 140-section unit. With this update, KTM has gone back to the wider 43 mm WP Apex fork, along with a larger 150-section rear tyre, giving the bike a more aggressive stance.

For 2027, KTM has given the bike two new colour schemes: Liquid Carbon and Slate Grey. The Liquid Carbon scheme is similar to the Ebony Black paint scheme on the Duke 250, where everything from the body panels to the underpinnings is blacked out. It also gets minimal orange graphics to remind you of its KTM nature.
The Slate Grey colour scheme, on the other hand, features grey body panels, blacked-out underpinnings, and an orange subframe that gives it a sporty look.
What's Unchanged

The KTM bike continues to be powered by the same 199cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, which makes 25 PS and 19.3 Nm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The Duke 200's engine has always been known for its revvy nature, and with the addition of the bidirectional quickshifter, it should be even more fun to ride.

The basic underpinnings of the bike also remain unchanged. It gets a steel trellis frame and rides on 17-inch wheels at both ends. The monoshock also remains unchanged, as does the braking setup, with a 320mm disc at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear.
In terms of features, it gets a 5-inch TFT console with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alerts, and music controls. The bike also gets dual-channel ABS as a safety feature.
ZigSays

The KTM 200 Duke was always loved by enthusiasts for its revvy engine and strong top-end power delivery. With this new update, KTM has given it several useful additions, such as ride modes, a bidirectional quickshifter, and traction control, which should make the riding experience safer and more enjoyable.
Despite all this added equipment, KTM has not increased the price significantly. Priced at Rs 2,07,140, it is Rs 1,552 more expensive than the old model. So, if you are planning to buy yourself a KTM motorcycle this Diwali, the KTM 200 Duke has become a solid option to consider.
