The Hero Xpulse 450 is a newly unveiled adventure motorcycle developed from the ground up and will sit at the top of Hero MotoCorp’s adventure bike lineup. This is a direct result of the brand’s efforts in the world of off-road motorsports including its Dakar programme. Not surprisingly, it has been developed in conjunction with Hero MotoSports Team Rally, and is meant for both India and abroad. It is expected to arrive in india at the end of 2027.

Price: Expect the Hero Xpulse 450 to cost just a shade under Rs 3 lakh (ex-showroom). The adventure bike will likely be launched in late 2027.
Design: The bike showcases a purposeful adventure-touring design built around a steel frame, featuring a tall windscreen, a sculpted fuel tank with sharp shrouds, gold-finished USD front forks, an underbelly bash plate, and a scooped saddle tailored for upright long-distance riding. The overall design is pretty compact and sleek, but has just the right amount of bulk to show that it is not a dual-sport bike like the smaller Xpulses.
Features: One of the key highlights of the Xpulse 450 is its category-first Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration in its TFT console. This should allow riders to access compatible smartphone functions (including proper navigation) through the motorcycle’s display. There are Rain, Road, Trail, and Off-road riding modes - each configuring the throttle map, ABS and traction control intervention accordingly. And yes, it’s got a switchable ABS and traction control as well. There’s also a DC charging socket along with a USB charging port to keep your devices topped up. The Xpulse 450 gets cruise control too.
Engine: The Xpulse 450 is powered by a 421cc, liquid-cooled, four-valve DOHC engine that produces 46.63PS at 9,100rpm and 38Nm at 7,500rpm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox and an assist and slipper clutch.
Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: The adventure motorcycle gets fully adjustable suspension, with a KYB 43mm upside-down front fork offering 225mm of travel. The cartridge-type fork has 22-step compression and rebound damping adjustment, and is tuned to absorb off-road impacts while maintaining control. The rear gets a linked monoshock, and the bike rides on 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels with tubeless tyres (Metzeler Tourance).
Rivals: The Hero Xpulse 450 will enter the middleweight adventure motorcycle segment. Its direct rivals will be KTM 390 Adventure S and Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.
Variants: The Xpulse 450 is likely to come in one fully-loaded variant, but this is yet to be confirmed.
