The first ever image of the LML Hyperbike, an electric bicycle, has surfaced on the Internet. The iconic brand, known for its erstwhile scooters, is all set to be resurrected as an EV maker on September 29.
LML had trademarked the ‘Star’ and ‘Hyperbike’ names in August. Recently, LML partnered up with Germany-based e-Rocket AG, a company producing electric bikes. Considering that, the Hyperbike by LML could be a high-speed electric bicycle.

The LML Hyperbike gets quite the dirtbike design language with a slim high-rise ‘fuel tank’, a long single-piece saddle, high-rise beak-like fenders and a bare frame.
The e-bike is seen featuring premium hardware including a USD fork and monoshock suspension setup. For braking, it comes equipped with a disc brake up front and a drum unit at the rear. The e-bike seems to be rolling on 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in road-biased tyres.
While the design and hardware present the appeal of a performance-oriented bike, the existence of pedals suggest otherwise. Is this a performance-oriented e-bike? Well, we will find out in two days’ time.

Interestingly, the LML Star was an iconic scooter back in the day, and the brand is likely to bring back the moniker in an electrified version, something similar to the Bajaj Chetak.
In terms of manufacturing, LML will be using Saera Electric Auto’s facility, a manufacturing plant that earlier produced Harley-Davidsons. Read more about it here.
Once launched, the LML Star electric scooter will go up against other EVs from brands like Hero Electric, Ola Electric, Ather, Bajaj, TVS and Okinawa.
