The Hero Xtreme 250R has received several exciting updates, making it a more feature-loaded bike overall. The biggest highlight is the new TFT console with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. This new screen is a big visual upgrade compared to the cluttered LCD screen that the bike came with earlier. The bike also gets traction control, 4 ride modes (Rain, Road, Sport, and Track), and a cruise control system, adding more convenience.

The bike now features ride-by-wire technology along with a bidirectional quickshifter as standard. It also gets a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), which is another segment-first feature.

In terms of hardware, the Xtreme 250R now gets a Ceat SportRad radial rear tyre. However, it gets a non-radial front tyre, and we wish Hero had not cut corners here. The engine has also been given a slight update. The 250cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine now makes 30 PS at 9,250 rpm and 25.3 Nm at 7,500 rpm, which is 0.3 Nm more torque produced at 250 rpm higher.
Hero has also introduced three new colour options for the bike: Carbon Red, Carbon Black and Carbon White.

The Hero Xtreme 160R 4V has also received a major update. It is now split into 3 variants: the Xtreme 160R 4V Standard, Xtreme 160R 4V Pro, and the Xtreme 160R 4V Carbon. The updated bikes get a new LED headlight with H-shaped LED DRLs, along with a redesigned tank that gives them a more aggressive look.

The top-spec Carbon variant gets a similar TFT display as the 250R, with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation, making it more competitive against rivals like the recently launched Pulsar N160 SS and the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V. Other new features include cruise control and three riding modes: Rain, Road and Sport, along with a drag timer.
The bike continues to be powered by the same 163cc air/oil-cooled engine, which now produces 17.1 PS at 8,750 rpm and 14.6 Nm at 6,500 rpm. This is 0.2PS more power, produced 250 rpm higher.
In terms of dimensions, the bike's kerb weight has increased by 1.5 kg, while the seat height is now 5 mm higher. The bike also gets an adjustable clutch lever, which is a welcome addition.

The bike is available in 8 new colours spread across its variants. The Carbon variant gets four colours: Carbon Red, Carbon Grey, Carbon Black and Abrax Orange, while the Pro variant comes in two colours: Pro Red and Pro Black. The standard variant comes in 2 colours: Firestorm Red and Pearl Black.
The bookings for the updated Xtreme 250R and the 160R 4V are now open, and deliveries will start from November 1st. However, the 160R 4V Standard variant will only be delivered from January 2027.
