The Venue is offered with a choice of two petrol engines and one diesel engine. Petrol engine options consist of a 83PS 1.2-litre petrol and a 120PS 1.2-litre turbo-petrol while the diesel variant comes with a 100PS 1.5-litre unit. While all three engines come with a manual option, only the turbo-petrol engine is offered with a 7-speed DCT. The turbo-petrol engine is also offered with a 6-speed clutchless manual gearbox. There is no CVT on the offer. As for the mileage, the ARAI claimed figures for the petrol manual is 18.27 kmpl, while the same for diesel stands at 23.7 kmpl. The claimed mileage of CVT is slightly better than MT. But the price of the car is also more. And it depends a lot on your driving style. If you have decent driving experience, you can extract good mileage from the MT also. Manual is fun to drive too! My honest opinion is Diesel for heavy usage, CVT for beginners, Manual for normal usage.
