Tata is planning to launch CNG-powered cars by FY 2022. CNG kits will be factory-fitted. Tiago, Altroz, and Tigor are expected to come with the green fuel option. All three models use the same 86PS/113Nm 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine. However, with the CNG variant, power figures will drop slightly while fuel efficiency is likely to be around 30 km/kg. A 5-speed manual will be the only transmission on offer. The CNG variants could cost Rs 50,000 more than the corresponding ICE-powered vehicles. Chances are, only the base and mid-spec variants will get the CNG option, as seen in other cars. With this, Tata will be the third manufacturer to offer CNG-powered cars, after Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai. Currently, there are around 10 CNG cars in India, including the Maruti Ertiga, WagonR, Alto, Celerio, S-Presso, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Santro, and Aura. Stay tuned for future updates.

Tata Tigor is such a marvellous car model that has become so popular these days for its convenience and smooth operation. So many people have this car on their wishlists and so did I and that is why I went to purchase this as soon as it was launched.

  • Tata Tigor: A Daily Driver's Take

Having owned the Tata Tigor for over six months I have grown quite fond of this compact sedan. The Tigor is powered by a 1.2 liter Revotron petrol engine producing 85 bhp and 113 Nm of torque paired with a smooth 5 speed manual or AMT gearbox providing a well balanced mix of performance and fuel efficiency..However the Tigor is not without its quirks. The engine can feel a bit underpowered when fully loaded and overtaking on highways needs some planning. Despite these points the Tigor holds up as a practical choice for those searching a no frills reliable sedan.

  • A Practical Choice with Quirks

The day I brought the Tata Tigor home I knew I was investing in practicality wrapped in an elegant design. Priced attractively with variants expand from ₹5.75 lakh to ₹7.49 lakh the Tigor positioned itself as a value for money option for someone needing a compact sedan with sufficient boot space and a comfortable ride. The spacious interiors and the 419 liter boot capacity were perfect for family outings. Additionally the infotainment system slow and the average quality of interior plastics were disappointing. However its safety features including dual airbags and ABS with EBD provided peace of mind.

  • Driving tigor

I have been driving tigor since 3 years. And not gonna lie i have driven other cars too but the experience in pickup and acceleration of tata tigor is unmatched. The foot pads atleast for me have to be comfortable and with the comparison of maruti's car i found tata has a better comfort in that.As the car is in heavier side and due to that it has 4 star of safety rating so one can drive it without any hesitation. The mileage of the car is in between 15 to 19 kmpl depending on the situation it can go upto 20.3 kmpl.My suggestion would be don't buy car to save little amount money from petrol but buy a car to be safe while driving.Your life is more worthy than any other things.I hope you it helpful.
