Hyundai i20 2020-2023 vs Maruti Baleno

I took possession of a new i-20 automatic sports version around 3rd week of nov 2023, Vehicle mileage is a serious let down, I am from banglore, My car is giving just around 7.6-8.0 (max) while driving in the city area.(even my earlier car hyundai xcent (which i exchanged for i-20) gave around 11km/ltr.This is such a serious issue now.My petrol bill has almost doubled.I also noted that it gave a max of 17km/ltr while driving on the highways (went from bangalore to mysore) best results were at 85-87km/hr speeds.Otherwise it slides to 16.3-16.5, This is the biggest draw back of this car.Rest everything works fine, Barring occasional issues with blue tooth pairing, Also initial pic-up is bit tardy.I am told most automatic behave similarly.I took my car to service center to enquire about the mileage issue.I am told after 4800 km.Mileage will improve.(i am not sure what magic is going to happen).I have around 4100 km now.Waiting to hit 4800km and see what happens.So guys pls do not believe any figures given by dealers.Check mileage of other similar vehicles thoroughly before going for i-20.Best wishes, Suresh.C.

Have been driving since last one year, everything is good just one major issue and i.e. Suspension (you feel bumps on your bum)

I am using i 20 asta 2014 1.4 crdi.Milage good, Space good, Powerfull car.Smooth engine, Best road grip.I want extra 2 inches ground clearenece.Car is over all good.

Best riding experience, Good mileage, Good for family car and lt looks premium appearance

Good so far on fuel economy and performance too since have base module not known to features as per advance variants

Best in mileage, It's fun to drive, Refinement if outstanding, But needs more steel for better built quality, Conclusion is that the car is just fab

Driving is good, But no pickup, mileage is very poor not available as per advertisment

This is an awesome car interms of everything like comfort, Fuel efficiency, Etc.When i bought this car was pleased me with its feature and comfort.I had got 26 kmpl mileage when i first travelled from delhi to ranchi around 1300 km from on side which amazed me with saving fuels and thank god to my pocket.I must say this is an awesome and economical car in this segment.

Iam from chennai.I would say car is good.But the service centres(nexa) are very very worst.If you reach the service time, You will receive the call from the service centres during your office hours more than 10 calls/day.No way you must leave the car for service.They will not do anything properly even simple water wash.I told 4 complaints in my service(maduravoyal service centre).They didn't do anything.They concentrate only on oil changing, That's all.Car performance is good, But the services are very pooooor.So 2 of my friends went for glanza instead of buying baleno.Think twice before buying baleno.Surely you will regret.

First of all, I love the seating in this car and the steering is like a wow.Compared to others in this range, I love to drive this car.Pickup is good.
