With numerous leaked images and teaser videos floating around the internet, it’s fair to say that the 2021 Hayabusa has been Suzuki’s worst-kept secret. The third iteration of the ‘Busa is now available in the European market. It's styled to look sharper, with improved electronics, rider-aids, and better equipment. Just how much has the bike changed compared to the previous-gen model? Here's a closer look through detailed images.
Design

While the 2021 model retains the signature silhouette of the Hayabusa, it looks sharper than before. The headlight is now an LED unit flanked by fang-like turn indicators. The rear section is now flatter and runs a horizontal LED taillight.

You have massive intake vents upfront that feed air into the engine while the exhaust scoops on the side fairing channelling hot air away from the rider.
Engine

The 2021 Busa is powered by a liquid-cooled, inline-four, 1340cc engine that makes 190PS at 9,700rpm and 150Nm at 7,000rpm -- 10PS and 5Nm less than before. It’s mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quickshifter.
Electronics

The instrument console may look similar to the older unit, but it gets a white backlight and a revised TFT screen that sits in between the two analogue dials. The new Hayabusa comes equipped with several rider-aids, including 10 levels of wheelie control, three levels of engine brake control, 10 levels of traction control, launch control, hill ascent and descent control, speed limiter, and cruise control system.
Moreover, the company has also introduced the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS) for the 2021 Hayabusa. The SDMS allows three preset and three rider-customisable settings.
Underpinnings

The 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa tips scales at 264kg -- 2kg less than the previous model. The bike is sprung on 43mm fully adjustable KYB forks and a monoshock. Anchoring the bike are twin 320mm discs with Brembo Stylema callipers at the front and Nissin callipers at the rear.

Its 17-inch wheels come wrapped in Battlax Hypersport S22 tyres developed in conjunction with Bridgestone.
Price

The 2021 Hayabusa is priced at GBP 16,499 (approximately Rs 16.45 lakh) in the UK. If Suzuki brings the Hayabusa to India as a CBU, we expect it to be priced around Rs 20 lakh to Rs 22 lakh.
