  • Mahindra has some exciting launches lined up including Thar 5-door and XUV700 EV.

It’s no doubt that Mahindra's recent cars have been incredibly successful in the Indian market. And in typical Mahindra fashion, their SUVs have super lengthy waiting periods. In fact, the waiting for certain cars like XUV700 and Scorpio N is so long in certain cities that it’s like waiting for a Ferrari or Bugatti.

But soon things are about to change as the SUV marque is set to ramp up production across the board.

At the moment, Mahindra is monthly producing around 39,000 units of their current portfolio. And at the latest investor meeting, the SUV marque said it’s planning to increase that number to 49,000 units over the next six months. The carmaker’s portfolio consists of stalwarts like the Thar, XUV700 and Scorpio N.

This should reduce the waiting period for all these models, which already have a lot of pending deliveries. As a matter of fact, the carmaker still has around 3 lakh pending orders that customers are eagerly waiting for. You can check out the details of this information in this report.

The reduction of waiting period for Mahindra cars should come across as great news for buyers who have been eagerly waiting for their car. In fact, some might consider rival models to get their new car faster in the garage. That said, certain Mahindras like the Scorpio N and XUV700 are so well packaged and desirable that it does make sense to wait and pick them up.

Also, Mahindra needs to reduce its order log and ramp up production as soon as possible as it has some big launches lined up from next year. The most anticipated one at the moment is the Thar 5-door followed by models such as the electric XUV700 and next-gen Bolero. It will also bring stand-up electric models under its BE. range.
