The Yamaha MT-07 will be launching in India soon as per an online report. Additionally, the engine will also be E20 fuel-compliant - which is also reported to be the reason for the delayed launch.
The Yamaha MT-07 is a middleweight streetfighter known for its raw performance, aggressive styling, and everyday usability. It is part of Yamaha’s MT (Master of Torque) lineup.
The bike features a minimalist design with an LED projector headlight, muscular fuel tank, upright handlebars, and a compact tail section. Its updated model gets a 5-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity.
Powering the MT-07 is a 689cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that makes 73.4PS and 67Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and is known for its torquey nature and linear power delivery.
It gets a conventional telescopic fork and a preload-adjustable monoshock. Braking duties are handled by dual front discs and a single rear disc with dual-channel ABS.
The MT-07 is expected to launch in India by October 2025, priced around Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom), targeting rivals like the Honda CB750 Hornet, Kawasaki Z650, and the Triumph Trident 660.
