For now, Tata Punch is available with a 1.2-litre petrol engine (from the Altroz). Going forward, a 110PS 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine and an all-electric powertrain may be introduced. Stay tuned.

  • Tata Punch: A Small Wonder with a Few Oversights

Driving the Tata Punch feels like Tata Motors took a good hard look at what Indian drivers need and delivered just that compact, efficient and stylish. What immediately grabs attention is the Punch’s robust design which stands out with its SUV like stance. The rear space for instance feels cramped for taller passengers. Performance enthusiasts might also find the engine lacking especially on highways where it struggles to keep up with higher speed demands. Despite these for urban dwellers looking for a dependable, stylish and safe vehicle the Tata Punch punches well above its weight although with a couple of reservations.
