The Kushaq gets two engines, both petrol. The first one is a smaller 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol unit, making 115PS of power, mated with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The larger 1.5-litre four-cylinder, on the other hand, makes 150PS of power and comes with two gearbox options: a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT. Even out on the highway, this engine has reserves of power and because of the tall gearing, this engine stays at a very comfortable rpm even at high speeds. This not only results in less stress on the engine but also aids fuel efficiency. Improve highway fuel efficiency further you get cylinder deactivation technology with the 1.5-litre unit. This basically shuts down two of the four cylinders while cruising or when the engine load is low. If we have to nit-pick, the clutch on the manual Kushaq is a little bit on the heavier side but other than that, as an urban commuter, this car works. Like the engine, the Kushaq´s ride is also impressive and it drives like an SUV should. It behaves beautifully over rough roads thanks to the quiet, softly damped, long-travel suspension. Despite the soft setup, even highway rides are surprisingly comfortable as the Kushaq remains composed over undulating surfaces and there's not much body movement. As a result, covering long distances in the Kushaq feels effortless. Is the Kushaq fun to drive? Well, absolutely! For starters, as mentioned before, the engine feels powerful. Sure, it doesn't like to be revved hard as it sounds a little rough but other than that, it has loads of grunt. But what really surprises you is the chassis balance. Despite it having a comfortable ride, it is very eager to change directions. The Kushaq feels agile and the steering too is well-weighted and accurate. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. • in public's high demand

Startng from a decent price range in India, the Skoda Kushaq is a strength defining car model built to beat the rest. Its powerful engine delivers great power and performance. The maintenance of this car seeks a bit of attention, time and cost but it is definitely worthy of all the appreciation. It is available in many variants and colours. My experience at the showroom as well as the buying process was also quite good and i would recommend this to all.

  • Skoda Kushaq: A Stylish Yet Practical SUV Choice

After driving the Skoda Kushaq for over six months now I can share a firsthand account of both its charms and challenges. The Kushaq with its 1.0 TSI engine is quite a performer delivering a robust 115hp which makes highway driving a breeze. Its handling is commendable and the ride quality is top notch thanks to its well tuned suspension. Fuel efficiency is decent coming around 17.88 km/l for the petrol variant which is economical for its class. The rear seating space might feel cramped for three adults and the boot space at 385 liters though decent for families.

The Transmission Type of my car is Automatic. The provided Front and rear Powerful Windows is also Good. The Airbags gives safety to both driver and passenger. The Pick up and Breaking system is also very impressive.

  • A Mixed Bag of Emotions

After months of contemplation and endless trips to the dealership, I finally got my hands on the Skoda Kushaq. Having driven it for a few thousand kilometers, I feel equipped to share my thoughts.Firstly, the Kushaq impresses with its solid build quality and eye catching European design. Powered by a choice of a 1.0 TSI engine that offers 115PS or a more potent 1.5 TSI that churns out 150PS, it’s a joy to drive specially with its punchy performance. The cabin is plush and well insulated, creating a comfortable environment even on bustling Indian streets.
