Considering that price difference between Hyundai Venue SX petrol and diesel version is ~35000, should we buy diesel variant from mileage point of view? With the improvement in diesel engine technology in recent times, I got to hear that maintenance cost difference between diesel and petrol variant is not huge.

@ Updates | Don't buy petrol version of venue. Its not worth of money. Atleast don't prefer to buy turbo engine. If will feel like you are driving maruti alto.I purchased it a week before and i want to sell it at aloss of 1 lakh rupees. Turbo engine venue is biggest fraud of hyundai.

The transmission is not jerky ,but agree that it is not that refined like in Polo GT which uses DCT like gearbox. The engine delivers power at higher RPMs though the performance lags a bit in lower rpms

The engine is not capable of conoeting with other similar cars of this range. Its bulky and it jerks while switching the gears. Car shakes on accelerating above 100kmph

Yes.... bulky and slow... feeling jerks while accelerating the car.. really feeling like cheated...
