About Hyundai Grand i10

Grand i10 proved to be a runaway success for the Hyundai and the reasons behind it are not difficult to ascertain. Hyundai has optimally mixed all the ingredients of success in Grand i10– contemporary design, quality interiors, excellent fit-finish, refined motors, and user-friendly driving dynamics. The spacious cabin and excellent all-around visibility add to the overall package. The Grand i10 is powered by a 1.2-liter petrol and a 1.2-liter diesel motor making the force of 83PS/114Nm and 75PS/190Nm respectively. Both the engines come mated to the 5-speed manual transmission with petrol guise featuring the additional convenience of automatic gearbox. With a price ranging between Rs 4.59 for the base Era petrol variant and going all the way to Rs 7.33 lakh for top-spec Asta diesel trim (both prices, ex-showroom, Delhi), the Grand i10 is giving stiff competition to the Maruti Swift and Ignis, Tata Tiago, Ford Figo, and Toyota Liva among others.

Hyundai Grand i10 Overview

Q. What is the reserve fuel capacity?
  • In general, 10-12 percent of the overall fuel capacity is the reserved capacity of the vehicle. The Hyundai Grand i10 features a 43 litres fuel tank and the reserved fuel capacity would be around 4.3- 5.1 litres.
Q. From my grand i10 2015 model, I hear sound from front suspension while passing through bumps. What can be the problem and how much it cost to solve it?
  • For this, we would suggest you to visit the authorized service center as they will inspect the car and will help you to resolve it. You can check the service center details here.

Q. I am confused between Swift VXI and Grand i10 sportz mt.
  • Swift if you can spend some more money the go for i20 it would be great choice it looks premium form inside and it has more features than both it doesn't cost you much more than Swift you need to keep car for minimum of 5 years build quality of i20 is far better as it comes under premium hatchbacks segment just take a test drive then decide
  • In all aspects, swift would be better. Grand i10 has only two positive factors as compared to swift, i.e., smoother steering wheel, better space on rear seats. What we Indians look for is low maintenance, better mileage, ease of use, better re-sale value. In all these aspects, swift is better.
  • If it was a diesel I would have opted for an i10..great mileage..enough road grip ..rear leg space more than in a swift..i10 grand sports meant for fun and enthusiastic rides ...you will get more if that ina swift with all features .do swift vxi is my choice for for you.

Q. Which is the best car under 6 lakh?
  • There are a lot of good cars in this segment but filtering all those we narrow down to few like TATA Tiago, suzuki ignis, expresso, waganor, grand i10, santro 2020 etc.... depending on the requirement the suitable one can be chosen
  • So many options .It depends on your needcelerio petrol plus cng if you don't need s boot.wagon r petrol had ample boot.wagon r petrol cng is good for long rides. For city commute celerio cng/petrol is the choice.
  • Liva, Swift and Tiago are better ones. Tiago has best build quality but poor after sales experience. Swift is best in features and mileage. Liva is stable, safe and a long term bet. In case you are looking for an hatchback AMT then you may like to consider Celerio(its best only for city daily usage and not stable but very cost effective).

Q. Which car is best Grand i10 or Tiago?
  • I have driven both. The Tiago is more comfortable ride. The Grand has slightly better quality. The Tiago has excellent steering return spring whereas the Grand has excellent brakes. So you see, there is some give and take overall. On the whole both are good cars. Tiago has a more forgiving clutch and hence it is easier to drive in the city.
  • If you want to go for grand i10 then go for diesel as petrol gives a bad milege. Tata Tiago is a small car and it is newly lunch in india and the disputes and problems are not known properly. Hyundai service is better than tata. If you are living in a nuclear family and plans to change the car say after 4 or 5 years then go for Tiago. Tiago is a less expensive and a very good car for a small family but if you are tall it may be uncomfortable.
  • For overall good fit and finish and also as a comfortable family car for beginners go for Gi10 and for fun ride and mileage go for tiago as tata has improved a lot over the years and tiago also looks a promising product.

    Speed continuously

a perfect car for a family of 4. worth every single penny. best car in this segment. I frequently travel long distances (700kms) at a stretch, never felt troubled. goes very smooth upto 130-140km. from 140, vehicle starts slightly trembling. but in our roads, we rarely go for that speed continuously. a reasonable mileage of 15-18 Kms(petrol variant). a great look. don't ever ask about the interiors, Hyundai is always the best in this. good controls, great boot space and leg space. this is the only car in this segment which gives a rear AC vent. engine is very smooth. car is very safe. only minor problem is: the bottom portion is made of plastic, if the car goes over some oddly constructed speed breakers or deep pits there are high chances that the bottom carrier assembly getting broken. it happened twice for me in the first year of purchase itself. then I understood that I need to go slower than the slowest over such places and then never faced any problem.apart from that, I have no single complaint. go for minimum sports version, to enjoy a wholesome ride.

    Decent mileage

I bought this car in December 2018. And I have been using this car for the last 2 years and I'm happy with the car till now. Overall performance is good, I drove the car on tarmac, Hill station, Bad roads filled with potholes and I'm impressed with the ride quality of this car. The only con/disadvantage of this car is its ground clearance (approach angle specifically). The ground clearance is quite low and not ideal for Indian road conditions. Rest it's a perfect family car with good performance and decent mileage. An initial lag is there but post-2000 rpm performs quite well till 5000 RPM. The comfort that the car provides is best in its segment I feel. Overall I'm happy with the car. It's a comfortable feature-rich family car with good performance and driving dynamics.

    Nice Car To Drive

The Grand I10 Asta Diesel model is a nice car to drive with light steering. Which makes it easy to drive, and handle city traffic. The build quality is a bit ok(Hyundai need to improve its build quality a bit more.) and about the engine performance, it's a fantastic car for daily driving. It covered 100000 km and is still fun to drive. Till now it produces enough punch with its smaller machine, and also happy with Its pocket-friendly maintenance. My buying experience is not good. A big smile, totally satisfied, and peaceful mind with the car. The car is just like ready to go anytime-anywhere.
