Driving experience

Driving experience with appache is great. But the durability of bike is a concern for me within one year i have experienced many problems with the bike whether if it's disk break issue.Engine light is always on, Doesn't matter if the bike is serviced or not.Gear shifting is not smooth, The electronic systems fitted are inferior quality, As within one year i had to change my ecm / ecu unit.Which is for about 5000/- to 6000/- rupees.Without which the bike would not work as your whole bike and it's fuel injectors are based on ecm.

Great Bike

The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V stands out as the most powerful bike in the 160cc segment. It has a strong, masculine design and offers a good mileage of around 40 kmpl. The bike is comfortable for long rides, the user typically goes on monthly trips covering at least 80kms. The top speed reached so far is 144km. The aggressive exhaust sound and amazing front DRL add to its appeal. However, servicing and maintenance costs are a bit high, requiring servicing every 1 to 2 months, with free servicing costing around 700 to 800 and paid servicing ranging from 1300 to 1600. One downside is the lack of a gear indicator in the odometer, which would have been a helpful addition for daily use. Despite this, choosing the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V was a good decision for the user, wishing everyone a good and safe ride.

I'm a owner of rtr 160 2v for 1 year.I will say my experience is very good and first impression was very good.I will discuss the pros and cons straight.Pros: 1.Looks, Comfort and posture is great.2.Pillionseat is also comfortable and every pillion of mine is satisfied.3.Initial acceleration is impressive and beyond expectations.Seriously it will feel like a highend sports bike in the initial.0-60kmph in almost 5 seconds.Top speed: 125kmph(mine), But it will go more like 130+.4.Exhaust sound is very soothing and sweet, Feel like a very good exhaust.5.Smooth engine and gear shifts make the ride very addictive.6.It has 3 modes like urban, Rain and sport.Every mode is perfect for their situation.7.Suspension also work well.Cons:1.Mileage is not so good as company says.I ride in sports mode almost all time and gives about 33-35kmpl.And it gives around 38kmpl in urban and rain. But it will not effect you cause the feel of the bike is very soothing.2.This bike needs good control, Cause the acceleration is not easy to handle at first.{i tried to think more cons but honestly i didn't get more}conclusion: if you are a college student or in 20s and you want to get a sporty commuter bike and good acceleration and speed you will definitely love this. You will love this like i do seriously.

Good Mileage And Performance Bike

I was attracted to it because of the graphics, and the exhaust note but was carried away by the performance on offer too. Rides are very stable, but refinement becomes an issue at higher speeds. Short gearing, hence easy to make quick overtakes in the city while maintaining a good mileage (at one point, It gave me 58kmpl, currently at 50kmpl). I had it for the past 10 years but didn't have any issues with it. The only con is the stock tyre set, They offer no feedback on the front and the rear too feels like it'll lose the grip.

Gear shifts

3.4

Gear shifts are very easy, But a lot of vibration at a speed of 50-70 km/h build quality is poor especially tail parts vibrate. In all rides are enjoyable but gets irritating when the vibrations are felt.

Smooth ride

4.2

It's a good metal body, best design, smooth ride, and is fit for my personality. I enjoyed every ride with it. I always appreciate it as a product with quality while riding. I felt the change of gear is very smooth, and the sound of the engine shows its presence, along with gear change and speed. My only complaint is the digital speedometer got corrupted and didn't get a chance to fix it.
