A new fully-faired test mule has been spotted testing in India, and all signs point towards it being the TVS Apache RR 450. The motorcycle appears to be based on the same platform as the BMW F 450 GS, and interestingly, the test bike was seen running Karnataka registration plates. Adding more weight to the Apache RR 450 theory is the fact that the front brake calliper carries a BMW badge, clearly hinting at shared components under the TVS-BMW partnership.
So why are we confident it’s the Apache and not a BMW sportbike? Historically, TVS has been the first mover in this collaboration's fully faired motorcycles. The TVS Apache RR 310 arrived well before BMW introduced the G 310 RR. This is because, TVS has a storied history in racing and its only natural that it wants to reflect the same ethos on its products, including the upcoming Apache RR 450. That makes this test mule far more likely to be TVS’ next big RR.
TVS is expected to showcase the Apache RR 450 at EICMA 2026, with the India launch likely to follow shortly after. Pricing is expected to be around Rs 4.20 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will go head-to-head with the Aprilia RS 457, setting up a very interesting middleweight sportbike battle in India.

At first glance, the front-end of the test mule looks unusually boxy, but this is most likely intentional camouflage to throw onlookers off. Look closer, and you’ll notice subtle but telling details. The standout element is the large winglet setup, partially hidden but clearly inspired by litre-class superbike from BMW. This suggests TVS is serious about aerodynamics and high-speed stability on the RR 450.
TVS is also expected to carry over several design cues from the Tangent RR Concept, which was showcased at the 2025 EICMA show, including sharp body panels and a sporty tail section. Speaking of the rear, the test bike features indicator-integrated brake lights, a layout already seen on the BMW F 450 GS. Interestingly, the mule was also fitted with pannier mounts, hinting that TVS might be positioning the Apache RR 450 as a do-it-all performance machine, rather than a hardcore, track-only supersport.

Under the fairing, the Apache RR 450 will use the same 420cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine, producing around 48PS and 43.5Nm. This larger displacement allows TVS to move beyond the earlier 310cc, opening the door for more performance-focused hardware. However, TVS might play around with the engine tune to suit its sporty characteristics.
The test bike was seen with adjustable front suspension, and there’s a strong possibility of adjustable clip-on handlebars, similar to what we’ve seen on the KTM RC 390. This setup could make the RR 450 comfortable enough for daily use, touring, and spirited weekend rides.
All in all, we're super excited to see how this new chapter will shape up for the Apache sub-brand. One thing's for certain: this will be the culmination of TVS' racing achievements so far, designed by the enthusiasts, for the enthusiasts.
