This might just be the most-affordable 750 twin In India

Big news! The Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 has been spotted in the UK, and what makes it more interesting is that it looks like an India-spec bike. But before I tell you why, let's take a recap.

The Himalayan 750 prototype was unveiled last year at EICMA, and has been spotted a number of times since. It will be available in two variants (atleast) - one with spoked wheels, and the other with alloy wheels. We know that the Himalayan 750 will get a brand new 750cc air and oil-cooled engine that’s expected to make about 55 PS and 65 Nm – making it the most powerful Royal Enfield bike at its launch.

Now, coming to the freshly seen bike, it looks quite production ready. It looks much more showroom ready than ever, and could mean that the bike is in its final stages of testing. At the front is a 19-inch alloy wheel with dual disc brakes, and an adjustable Showa inverted fork. It gets a round LED headlight (similar to the Himalayan 450) – however a lack of the beak makes the bike look tall, and also because of the taller windscreen (as compared to the stock on the 450). The 750 also has panels surrounding the headlight, adding to the beefy road-presence. A bit Husqvarna Norden 901-esque, if you may.

Look slightly lower and you’ll notice the 2-into-1 exhaust headers, surrounding the oil-cooler. The ground clearance seems quite adequate as well, even with the rider astride. On that note, the ergonomics might just be quite easy on the Himalayan 750. It seems you’d sit inside the bike, rather than on top of it. This might also help in switching between sitting and standing positions, depending on the terrain you are on.

Moving on to the rear, the pillion seat looks quite spacious. And here’s why it looks India-spec – it’s got a saree guard, and if you look closer, a Ceat tyre wrapped around a 17-inch alloy wheel. It’s suspended on a linked monoshock, most-likely to be a Showa unit. Though, no suspension adjustability is seen, at least in the images we have now.

Overall, the bike looks massive. It should have sufficient space to carry a pillion and a significant amount of luggage – be it panniers, top box, tail bags, side bags, you name it all. But a downside to all of that might be its weight. And a big pointer to that are the two front discs that should help this beefy bike come to a stop safely.

On the features front, we can expect a whole lot from it – the circular Tripper Dash is already visible – it’s got full Google Maps navigation, call and music controls, and the usual stuff. The bike should also get riding modes, the usual suite of safety aids, ride-by-wire throttle, multiple riding modes, cruise control, and then an extensive customisation catalogue, befitting a Royal Enfield bike.

All said, it’s just a matter of its launch, we expect Royal Enfield to debut the production bike in India at the MotoVerse festival, and then launch it in February 2027, at around Rs 4.5 lakh (ex-showroom). It will rival the likes of the Honda NX 500, BMW F 450 GS, and the upcoming Norton Atlas, but could be priced significantly lower.
