It will be the biggest Aprilia SXR in India yet

Aprilia is known to make some of the most fun scooters in India. Infact, the brand democratised itself in India with a bunch of relatively affordable sporty scooters, long before the RS and Tuono 457.

The Italian brand is now set to revive this interest in scooters. According to our sources, the SXR 175 will be launched in September 2026.

It will be the biggest maxi-style scooter from Aprilia in India and will be based on the SR 175. It will have the 13.26 PS, 14.14 Nm, 174 cc single-cylinder engine from the SR. Along with that, we can expect the familiar SXR styling, a digital display, and chunky-looking wheels on the scooter.

The upcoming Aprilia SXR 175 will also revive the maxi-scooter segment for the brand. Aprilia quietly discontinued the SXR 125 and 160 from its website a while ago. With the new, bigger SXR, the Italian brand will have a better change against maxi-scooters like the Hero Xoom 160, Yamaha Aerox, and the soon-expected Honda 160 ADV. If Aprilia manages to price it around Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom) mark, it could compete strongly with its rivals in the segment.
