TVS has pulled the covers off its newest concept, the Tangent RR at EICMA 2025 – which likely previews the production version of the Apache RR450. And, it sent a clear signal: it’s targeting the big-leagues now. The design is aggressive with razor-sharp body lines, twin-headlamps, fairing with aerodynamic winglets, and a sculpted fuel tank that screams “track ready”. Underneath all that theatrical flair lies the real story: the TVS Apache RR450 will mostly be built on a new 450 cc parallel-twin engine shared with the BMW F 450 GS.

We may see the production version to hit the roads only around 2027 if we’re being optimistic. This should let TVS take the time to refine components, homologate emissions and gear the bike for multiple global regions. The company’s earlier approach with the TVS Apache RR310 and BMW G 310 RR – shows this shared-platform strategy can work, so expectations are high.

What do we know of the specs so far? Well, not much. Numbers like the horsepower, torque, weight, suspension travel, and of course price remain under wraps. What we can infer though – given the rivals in this class and the billing of a sportbike, we’re likely looking at something in the 45-55PS range likely with a slipper clutch and quick-shifter as standard, but let’s wait for confirmation.

The RR concept boasts premium components: Ohlins upside-down fork, aluminum swingarm, twin Brembo radial front brakes, adjustable levers, a round TFT console, and even a steering damper. The aggressive ergonomics suggest a committed riding posture – TVS is clearly targeting riders who want track-day thrills but also usable day-to-day commutes. The unveiling at Milan, rather than only in India, emphasises the global ambition and TVS’s desire to build its brand beyond regional borders.

This TVS bike could raise the bar for performance bikes in the 400-500cc segment, offering premium features at a competitive price to take on the likes of the Aprilia RS 457 and Kawasaki Ninja 500. Stay tuned for more updates!
