Ford, in an attempt to up its game in the festive season, has launched the signature edition range of accessories on one of it's most awarded compact SUVs, the EcoSport. The car will now feature attractive exteriors and sportier looking interiors. The signature edition of the black Titanium variant of Ford EcoSport will be available at a starting price of Rs 9,26,194 (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). The aforementioned ex-showroom price will be inclusive of accessories, fitments, and a paint job (worth Rs 37,894).
On the outside, the Ford EcoSport's black signature edition will feature a series of changes that enhance the sporty appeal of the car. The new features will include all-new LED daytime running lamps (DRL), a string of five LED lights that have been added just below the fog lamp, tweaked front and rear bumpers, attractive body graphics and bright and illuminated scuff plates.
The parts of the new signature edition package will be dealer fitted on the existing EcoSport Black. The package will include all-black exteriors along with a black grille, black-out moulded headlamps, 16-inch black alloy wheels, black mirror covers, black fog lamp bezel, black roof rails and roof cross bars.
Speaking of the interiors, the car will feature black vinyl seat covers with red stitching which will give the interiors a plush, premium, and a completely fresh look. AppLink, Ford’s advanced in-car connectivity system, life-saving Emergency Assistance and six airbags (for the top-end variant) for an enhanced level of protection for the driver and as well passengers, are some of the additional features on the compact SUV.
Under the hood of the compact SUV is a 1.5-litre TiVCT petrol engine that produces 112 PS of power. On the other hand, the 1.5-litre TDCi oil burner is capable of churning out 100 PS of power. Both these motors come with either a five-speed manual transmission or Ford’s renowned six-speed dual clutch PowerShift automatic transmission, depending upon the buyer's choice.
The Ford EcoSport has won 32 awards till now, which makes it one of the most awarded vehicles in the country. The car was also declared as the best SUV in terms of quality twice in a row by the JD Power Study.
