The second wave of the pandemic played spoilsport with regards to the launch of the 2021 TVS Apache RR 310. Originally slated for an April 2021 debut, the flagship bike of the Hosur-based manufacturer will finally launch tomorrow.

TVS has been tight-lipped about the details of the new Apache RR 310, but going by the invitation we’ve received, the bike is unlikely to get a cosmetic overhaul. What we can expect, however, is additional goodies, like preload adjustability for the USD fork, just like what we saw on the 2021 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V.

Just like the 2021 iteration of the 200cc Apache and the Apache RTR 160 4V, the 2021 TVS Apache RR 310 could be lighter by a kilo or two. The supersport could have a better power-to-weight ratio as well, something we saw with its siblings. TVS may choose to swap the grippy Michelin Road 5 tyres with the TVS ProTorq radials, which we have been testing on our long-term KTM 390 Duke.

The 2021 TVS Apache RR 310 will continue to use the same reverse-inclined 313cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. But it is highly likely that TVS could work on bumping up the performance from the current 34PS and 27.3Nm.

TVS introduced the 2021 Apache 4V twins with only a marginal increase in price, and we hope the bikemaker continues the tradition with the 2021 Apache RR 310. Currently, the supersport retails at Rs 2.54 lakh, and the price may go up by Rs 2,000 to Rs 3,000. Interestingly, its rival, the KTM RC 390, too shall make its debut next month, and has already started teasing the bike.
