Another year and another update for the TVS Apache RR 310. TVS is obviously tight-lipped regarding the new features but it has revealed that the updated RR 310 will be launched on April 7. Currently, the TVS supersport is priced at Rs 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). With the new updates, we guess the prices are likely to go up by Rs 5,000-Rs 6,000.
What updates will it get? We think TVS might be working on providing preload adjustability on the front USD fork, just like it has done on the RTR 200 4V. This is a welcome addition as it will help the rider tune the suspension a bit to his/her riding style. Span-adjustable levers will likely be added to the bike, a small but useful update to tweak the controls to the rider’s liking.

The 313cc motor is likely to push out the same 34PS and 27.3Nm, if not more, with this update. We have seen the likes of the Apache RTR 200 4V and RTR 160 4V gain power with their 2021 updates, the latter becoming the most powerful bike in its segment. Let’s hope TVS engineers have worked a bit of their magic once again and given the RR 310 a bit more oomph.
If not more power, we hope at least the ride modes are better defined. Currently, in the Urban and Rain riding modes, the engine mapping does not really lend the motor a bit more low-end torque, rather capping off its top-end performance. This small switch could make a huge difference in how the bike behaves in the city and hopefully, generate better fuel efficiency too.

The super sticky Michelin Road 5 rubber could be swapped with a pair of TVS Eurogrip ProTorq Extreme Tyres. Given the recent impositions on imported rubber, the ProTorq Extremes make for an easy replacement. We have got these tyres on test for the KTM 390 Duke and will be putting it through its paces soon enough.
These updates should justify the expected asking premium, making the RR 310 an even better bike than the outgoing model.
