Top 5 TVS Bikes With The Highest Price Cuts Due To GST 2.0

TVS fanboys rejoice! Due to the recent GST rate cut for motorcycles under 350cc, all of TVS’ bikes now cost significantly less. Here’s a closer look at the top 5 TVS bikes with the biggest price drops, and why each one is special:

TVS Apache RTR 310

Price Drop: Rs 24,310

New Starting Price: Rs 2,21,240 (ex-showroom)

The TVS Apache RTR 310 is a naked bike that looks like a certain Red Italian streetfighter (*cough* Ducati *ahem*) and has a 312cc engine making 35PS. Its main talking points though have to be its superbike-rivalling rider electronics suite. It gets features like cruise control, riding modes, traction control, even optional keyless ignition, and so much more.  With this price drop of almost Rs 25,000, we can expect the on-road price to be under Rs 3 lakh in many states - a sweet deal in our opinion.

TVS Apache RR 310

Price Drop: Rs 23,059

New Starting Price: Rs 2,56,240 (ex-showroom)

The TVS Apache RR 310 is the fully-faired, sportbike sibling of the RTR 310. Designed for those who want performance and style, it’s equally capable on city roads as it is on the racetrack. Its aerodynamic design can give even foreign bikes a run for their money. As an added bonus, it comes with sharp handling, premium build quality, and an even more powerful tune (38PS here). It’s also as feature-packed as its naked brethren. The Rs 23,000-odd price drop has made it a fantastic value-for-money, do-it-all faired bike – as even some bikes that cost much higher don’t have this much tech.

TVS Ronin 

Price Drop: Rs 11,200-14,330

New Starting Price: Rs 1,24,790 (ex-showroom)

The TVS Ronin is the Hosur-based brand’s take on the cruiser, scrambler, and roadster segment – yes, all 3 at once (the company calls it an “unscripted ride”). Having said that, if you were to put a label on it, then a ‘premium commuter’ will be the most appropriate one. It has neutral ergonomics, linear power delivery, versatile mid-range performance, and….block-pattern tyres (to deal with our roads). The new GST reduction brings the price down by over Rs 14,000 for the top variant.

TVS Apache RTR 200 4V

Price Drop: Rs 12,700-13,200

New Starting Price: Rs 1,41,290 (ex-showroom)

The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V recently got a new top-spec variant with a TFT console (from the RTR 310), a golden USD front fork, a new fascia with a single-pod projector LED headlight and twin DRLs on either side (we’re not sure who they got inspired from this time: the Bajaj Pulsar N-series or the Yamaha MT-15 V2). The Rs 13,200 price cut for this top-spec version makes it even more appealing to riders looking for a feature-rich, peppy 200cc bike.

TVS Apache RTR 160 4V

Price Drop: Rs 9,818-12,150

New Starting Price: Rs 1,15,852 (ex-showroom)

The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is a fun, lightweight, sporty commuter bike that doesn’t skimp on features (sensing a theme here). It also got updated recently with new tech (TFT screen and more) and headlight as its older sibling – the 200 4V. It’s ideal for city riding, the occasional highway run, and weekend breakfast rides in the ghats – while being more fuel efficient than the 200. The Rs 12,150 price drop makes it a fantastic entry point into the Apache family (ignoring the 160 2V for a second).
