New Suzuki Gixxer: Image Gallery highlights

Suzuki is all set to launch the updated Gixxer in India soon. The 2019 model will get a complete design revamp along with some new features. Earlier, a brochure was leaked, which gave us a fair idea of what to expect from the upcoming motorcycle. However, we have now received a new set of images, giving us a far better look at the naked motorcycle than before.

In terms of styling, the 2019 Gixxer 155 follows a new design language. The updated model features a more muscular stance than before. Along with the black colour option which was seen in the leaked brochure, the upcoming naked motorcycle sports a new blue/black paint job.

The rear end has been restyled as well. The split seats, double barrel exhaust and the tyre hugger are the same as the 2019 Gixxer SF.

While the current-gen model is equipped with a halogen headlamp, the new one features a more modern LED unit.

The entry-level naked Gixxer will be equipped with an all-digital instrument cluster, also seen on the faired variant.

The upcoming 2019 Gixxer will be powered by the same 154.9cc mill as seen on the Gixxer SF. This motor churns out 14.1PS at 8000rpm and 14Nm at 6000rpm, and is paired to a 5-speed transmission. While the current model features carburettor, the 2019 model will get fuel injection to comply with the upcoming emission norms.

Suspension duties are handled by the same telescopic fork and a rear monoshock as seen on the current-gen model.

Disc brakes at both ends with single-channel ABS as standard handle braking duties.

Moving on to the most important bit, the price. While there’s no official word yet, given the extent of changes, it’s safe to assume that the 2019 Gixxer will command a premium of around Rs 10,000 over the outgoing model, which retails for Rs 88,941 (ex-showroom Delhi).
