Royal Enfield’s first electric bike is finally here after almost an year of teasers, unveils, and what not. And instead of going big and traditional, the brand has gone petite and seriously tech-heavy. The Flying Flea C6 is unlike anything we’ve seen from the Chennai-based brand.
Inspired by its lightweight military namesake from the 1930s, the Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 keeps things minimal. What stands out more than the size, though, is the quality. From the exposed frame and paint to the magnesium battery casing and even the switchgear – everything feels top-notch. This is easily among the most premium Royal Enfields yet, even if its proportions won’t be for everyone.

Power for this Royal Enfield bike comes from a 3.91kWh battery and a 15.4kW motor making 60Nm. It does 0-60kmph in a claimed 3.7 seconds, tops out at 115kmph, and offers a claimed 154km range. At just 124kg, the Flea feels quick, eager, and super easy to flick around. Five ride modes: Eco, Rain, Highway, Sport and Custom; actually change the experience, with Sport mode delivering proper punch.
You get a 3.5-inch touchscreen TFT with navigation, Bluetooth, 4G connectivity, and OTA updates. And, there’s no key, just a passcode or smartphone access. It also packs traction control, dual-channel ABS (rear switchable), multiple regen modes, reverse mode, hill-hold assist, and even a wireless phone charger.

The girder fork on this already quirky electric bike definitely adds character, while the 19-inch wheels and slim tyres keep things agile. Charging is simple too – plug into a regular socket, with fast charging taking about 2 hours 16 minutes. In ideal conditions, it can add roughly 1km of range per minute. The slim design means a small seat, and that limits long-distance comfort. It’s clearly built for the city, where its light weight and easy nature make far more sense.
Priced at Rs 2.79 lakh (ex-showroom), the Flying Flea C6 isn’t trying to be a mass-market bike. It’s also at a lower price of Rs 1.99 lakh with BaaS (Battery-as-a-Service). It’s clearly a premium, lifestyle EV – something you buy because it’s different. It’s not meant for everyone, but easily one of the most interesting Royal Enfields made in a long time.
