Flying Flea C6 (Royal Enfield) FAQs
Flying Flea C6 Key Highlights
Price: The Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 is priced at Rs 1.99 lakh (with Baas) and Rs 2.79 lakh (without Baas), ex-showroom, Chennai, and it is available in a single, fully specced variant.
Design: The Flying Flea C6 stands out with its neo-retro styling, inspired by Royal Enfield’s historic lightweight motorcycle, the OG Flying Flea, which was designed to be featherweight so as to be able to deploy via air-drops. It features a round LED headlight, minimal bodywork, and a clean roadster silhouette. The highlight is the girder front suspension, which adds a vintage touch. Its compact proportions and simple design give it a timeless yet modern appeal.
Features: The Flying Flea C6 gets a modern 3.5-inch round, touch-enabled TFT instrument console. Royal Enfield chose Snapdragon as its processor partner, so expect the UI to be properly fluid. It displays all the important information, like speed, battery percentage, trip data and more. Since this electric bike is made for urban yuppies, it also gets no-compromise smartphone connectivity with Google Maps-based navigation, SMS/call alerts, music control, voice assist, and ride data. Along with this, the Flying Flea also gets dual-channel lean-sensitive ABS, with an option of turning the rear ABS off completely. There are also three levels of traction control, which is a bit of an overkill but helpful for rookie riders. The e-bike also gets features like remote lock/unlock, a wireless phone charger (located where the ‘tank’ is supposed to be), and a torque band indicator.
Motor: Powering the Flying Flea C6 is a lithium-ion battery pack rated at 3.91kWh, paired with an electric motor producing 15.4kW, linked to a final belt drive. It has a claimed range of up to 162km, and takes 60 minutes to charge from 20 to 80%, with a configurable charging rate of 500W to 2200W. It should offer performance comparable to a 125-150cc petrol-powered motorcycle. There are five riding modes: Eco, Rain, Tour, Performance and Custom. Don’t expect Guerrilla 450-levels of performance here, just about enough to make daily commutes an easy-going affair.
Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: The Flying Flea C6 is built on a lightweight platform designed for urban riding and weighs 124kg (kerb). It uses a girder fork and a monoshock at the rear. Braking is handled by a 260mm front and a 230mm rear disc brake setup. The e-bike runs on big 19-inch alloy wheels at both ends, with a 90/90-19 section front and rear tyres. Purists may scoff at the sight of alloy wheels on a vintage-themed bike, but it does help in accommodating tubeless tyres.
Rivals: The Flying Flea C6 has no direct competitors per se, but other conventional electric motorcycle alternatives will include the Ola Roadster X, Revolt RV400, and Oben Rorr.
Range: Flying Flea C6 can go upto 154 km/charge after a full charge.
