Vespa has revealed a new special edition of its Primavera 125 scooter, created in collaboration with Gigi, an upscale Italian restaurant group. Priced at EUR 12,000 (approximately Rs 10.8 lakh), this limited-run model is positioned firmly as a luxury lifestyle accessory rather than a simple mode of transport. Preorders are currently open via the Vespa website, but the scooter will only be available in Europe.
The partnership pairs Vespa with a brand that operates in the same luxury leisure space. Gigi is an exclusive Italian restaurant group with locations in high-profile destinations like Saint-Tropez, Paris, Rome, Miami, and Dubai. This collaboration positions the Vespa scooter not for daily commuting, but for the rich clientele of these establishments.

Every detail on the scooter screams exclusivity. The bodywork is finished in a bright yellow, complemented by chrome and cognac-coloured accents. It features an ivory leather seat with contrasting stitching and piping, and the wheels are also finished in ivory.
Practical luxury is signalled by a chrome front luggage rack with leather straps and, most distinctively, a wicker picnic basket mounted on a chrome rear rack. These material choices move the scooter away from mass production and towards bespoke craftsmanship.

The EUR 12,000 price tag places the Primavera 125 x Gigi in a category of its own, far beyond any standard 125cc scooter available anywhere in the world. It is available for preorder exclusively through Vespa's European website, with no plans for an Indian or US release mentioned. To underscore its exclusivity, just two examples of the scooter will be put on display at the Gigi restaurant in Saint-Tropez during the Summer of 2026.
