Could launch after GST 2.0 comes into effect
May not get any mechanical or feature updates as the 2025 TVS Apache RR 310
Might just be BMW’s last single-cylinder bike to sell in India
BMW Motorrad has dropped a fresh teaser of the G 310 RR, hinting at what could very well be the closing chapter for its smallest supersport. Much like its naked and adventure siblings, the G 310 RR is also expected to be phased out soon to make way for BMW’s all-new 450cc parallel-twin platform. But before that happens, BMW seems ready to give the faired 310 one last special outing.

The first teaser showcased the tail section of the bike, and the latest one shows the tank, the exclusive livery and the limited edition badge. BMW might also spice things up with aerodynamic winglets, similar to the ones on the TVS Apache RR 310, the bike on which it is based.
The TVS Apache RR 310 has steadily evolved over time with power bumps and trick features like cruise control, launch control, and cornering traction control. Naturally, many are wondering if the BMW will inherit the same upgrades. Sadly, it is highly unlikely. Since the production will be limited for this particular variant, the changes are more likely restricted to cosmetics. So no major performance jump is expected beyond the current 34PS/27.3Nm output.
With GST 2.0 kicking in on September 22, 2025, the G 310 RR will be priced at Rs 2.81 lakh (ex-showroom), as confirmed by the brand. Expect the upcoming edition to carry a premium of around Rs 10,000 over that. We wouldn’t be surprised if the launch happens as early as next week, right after GST 2.0 comes into play.
That said, the limited edition BMW G 310 RR looks set to be more of a collector’s item than a proper update, possibly celebrating the bike’s final chapter before BMW pivots to its 450cc future. Exclusive colour, limited numbers, and perhaps winglets are what buyers can look forward to. Limited numbers also means that the bike will be sold out pretty quickly. If you really want the cutting-edge features and extra punch, the Apache RR 310 will still be the better bet - especially the one with the BTO kit that’s loaded with all kinds of bells and whistles.
