Royal Enfield recently launched the Classic 650 in India. It has already been praised for being one of the most beautiful motorcycles made by the brand, and now it also gets some optional accessories to enhance both its aesthetic and functional appeal. Aspiring customers can also spec their Royal Enfield Classic 650 straight from the official website. Here’s our specced-out one:
The motorcycle is available in 4 colour options: Vallam Red, Bruntingthorpe Blue, Black Chrome and Teal. We opted for the Teal paint scheme, as it is a nostalgic throwback to the original colour in which the Classic 500 was launched back in 2008.
Knowing our bad roads, the first thing we opted for is the sump guard and oil cooler guard. We chose a metallic finish for both the accessories to match with the aesthetics of the powertrain. The sump guard and oil cooler guard with the metallic finish cost Rs 3,450 and Rs 2,000 respectively. Additionally, for a more premium aesthetic we also added an aluminium oil filler cap (Rs 1,050), and billet aluminium bar-end weights (Rs 1,100). To add an extra layer of comfort we also chose the Deluxe rider and pillion footpegs that are wider and flatter than the stock ones. The one for the rider costs 3,250 and the pillion footpegs cost Rs 2,950.
Adding all these accessories set us back by Rs 13,800 over the ex-showroom price of the Teal variant, bringing the total on-road (Delhi) price of the Classic 650 to Rs 4,02,785. Apart from the ones we’ve mentioned, Royal Enfield also offers the oil filler cap and sump guard in black colour scheme, at the same respective prices.
These accessories are beautifully crafted with great attention to detail, as all of them carry a Royal Enfield logo. These accessories go well with the overall design and are available with a 3 year manufacturer warranty. One crucial accessory that’s missing is the engine crash guard, but we reckon Royal Enfield will bring it pretty soon. We also hope Royal Enfield brings spoke wheels with tubeless tyres at least as an option. Also, do note that the pillion seat is standard across all the variants, and you can remove it using tools.
