The first quarter of 2025 has been eventful for car buyers in our market, with prominent launches around both the mass-market as well as premium car segment. Carrying this momentum forward, launches in March majorly centered around model year updates and facelifts, along with the introduction of ultra-luxury models like the Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Monogram. With this in mind, let's take a look at all the cars launched in March.
After refreshing the Tiago with 2025 model year updates, Tata launched its slightly sportier NRG version. Compared to the standard model, the Tiago NRG features a more muscular look with a redesigned bumper, thicker skid plates and body cladding, black-finished roof rails, and a prominent black element on the tailgate with NRG badging.

Inside, it gets an all-black cabin theme with features such as a 10.25-inch infotainment system, keyless entry with a push-button start-stop function, and steering-mounted controls. The Tiago NRG will be offered with the same 86 PS 1.2-litre petrol engine, which can also be configured with a factory-fitted CNG kit. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed automatic gearbox. Prices for the Tiago NRG start from Rs 7.20 lakh (ex-showroom) and go up to Rs 8.75 lakh (ex-showroom).
MG launched the 2025 Comet EV with prices starting from Rs 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom). However, this price is applicable only if you purchase the Comet under MG's Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) scheme, for which you have to pay an additional Rs 2.5 per km as a battery rental fee. If you plan to buy the Comet by paying for the entire vehicle upfront, prices range between Rs 7 lakh and Rs 9.81 lakh (ex-showroom).

With the updates, mid-spec variants now get a reverse parking camera and auto-folding outside rear view mirrors, while the top-spec variants receive leatherette seat upholstery and an upgraded 4-speaker audio system. It is available with a 17.3 kWh battery pack, paired with a 42 PS/110 Nm single electric motor setup, delivering a claimed range of 230 km.
The Skoda Kushaq and Slavia received 2025 model-year updates, with the lower-spec variants of both cars now featuring more equipment. These include connected car tech, alloy wheels, and a sunroof. Apart from this, the overall design and interior of both models remain unchanged, and there are no updates to the powertrain either.

Prices for the 2025 Slavia begin from Rs 10.34 lakh (ex-showroom) and go up to Rs 18.24 lakh (ex-showroom), undergoing a price drop of up to Rs 45,000. Meanwhile, the 2025 Kushaq receives a price hike of up to Rs 69,000, with prices ranging between Rs 10.99 lakh and Rs 19.01 lakh (ex-showroom). Notably, the Slavia is offered with a 3-year/1 lakh km warranty, while the Kushaq is sold with a 5-year/1.25 lakh km warranty.
Along with introducing model-year updates to the XUV700, Mahindra launched the Ebony Edition of the mid-size SUV. With the updates, the XUV700 now gets a seat belt reminder for the second row, while the Ebony Edition features a dark-themed exterior and interior. However, the XUV700 Ebony Edition is available only in the top-spec AX7 and AX7 L variants and is offered only with the front-wheel drivetrain option.

The XUV700 Ebony Edition comes equipped with features like a 10.25-inch infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver display, ventilated front seats, a powered driver’s seat with memory function, and a panoramic sunroof. Prices for the XUV700 Ebony Edition range between Rs 19.64 lakh and Rs 24.14 lakh (ex-showroom), while the standard model starts from Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
Jeep introduced the Sandstorm Edition for the Compass SUV which is nothing but an add-on kit offered with three variants. These variants include, Sport, Longitude, and Longitude (O), carrying a price premium of Rs 50,000 over the pricing of the respective variants. On the exterior, the Compass Sandstorm sports distinct themed decals with dune-inspired graphics on the bonnet, doors, and C-pillars.

The cabin features premium beige seat covers, complemented by theme-specific accessories like custom carpets and cargo mats. In terms of features, the only notable additions include front and rear dash cams for enhanced safety and customisable ambient lighting. The Compass Sandstorm is powered by the same 170 PS 2-litre diesel engine, paired with 6-speed manual or 9-speed automatic transmission. Prices range between Rs 19.49 lakh and Rs 27.33 lakh (ex-showroom).

With the 2025 model-year update, the BYD Atto 3 received a key feature upgrade in the form of ventilated front-row seats. It also gets a subtle interior revision, with an all-black cabin theme replacing the previously offered dual-tone scheme. While the battery pack options remain unchanged, BYD now offers the Atto 3 with a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, which is claimed to have a 15-year lifespan and better self-discharge management.

Both the 49.92 kWh and 60.48 kWh battery packs are paired with a 204 PS/ 310 Nm single electric motor setup. The smaller battery pack delivers a claimed range of 468 km, while the larger one provides 521 km of claimed range. The 2025 BYD Atto 3 is priced from Rs 24.99 lakh to Rs 33.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

Exterior updates on the Overtrail variant include a blacked-out treatment for the front grille, wheel arches, door handles, and roof rails. While the LX Overtrail rides on smaller 18-inch alloy wheels, it includes front and rear differential locks in addition to the central differential lock, which is standard on both variants.
