Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Rebrands as TATA.CARS: Carries 'Nothing's Too Far' As Brand Promise

TATA.CARS is the start of a new era for Tata cars to develop even more with greener mobility.

Tata Motors is one of the legacy automotive brands of our country. And today is one of the top-selling brands in India, with over 70 lakh cars on our roads. That is a large number given that India is one of the fastest-growing car markets in the world. 

And now, the carmaker has announced a new brand chapter, evolving Tata’s car division into a new identity and a tagline. What is next and new with Tata? Let’s dive in:

TATA.CARS

In the last decade, the automotive division of Tata Group has been called Tata Motors PV (Passenger Vehicles). This included both commercial and private vehicles. However, now that we have TATA.CARS, this makes the passenger vehicle division independent from the commercial division. While the brand name has now been changed, the passenger vehicle division will still remain legally known as Tata Motors PV.

The name comes from the simplicity of common people referring to their cars as Tata cars. The new branding intends to welcome buyers and encourage them to experience what Tata cars are and evoke confidence.

New Branding Comes With A New Tagline

From conveying “Connecting Aspirations” as its old tagline, today they carry “Nothing’s Too Far” as their confident new tagline. The old tagline has been in use since 2017, and today, it promises to usher in a new era with the new branding and brand messaging.

TATA.CARS, though being their new brand, aim to connect with people a lot better, making them look approachable and modern. The new branding could help them be viewed in a clearer light as to them being a modern and youthful brand with features and safety packed in.
