Tata Motors will launch the rugged-looking hatch on August 04, 2021

2021 Tata Tiago NRG to be based on the facelifted Tiago.
Will get body cladding, increased ride height, and new wheels.
The cabin to get contrasting elements and tri-arrow pattern on seat upholstery.
Will be powered by an 86PS 1.2-litre petrol engine with manual and automatic transmission options.
Likely to command a premium of Rs 28,000 over the standard Tiago.

Tata Motors has teased the updated Tiago NRG on its social media channels ahead of its launch on August 4. The hatch gets a new green paint option with a contrasting black roof, which isn’t on offer in the standard Tiago.

While the manufacturer hasn’t revealed the design, it’s safe to assume that the hatch will get plenty of body cladding like the pre-facelift version. Also, it will sit slightly higher off the ground and get a new wheel design this time. Apart from the green shade, Tata will likely offer more colour options to distinguish it from the standard Tiago.

Inside, the hatch will likely get an all-black dashboard with contrasting colours around the AC vents and gear lever. It will also get the new steering wheel and digital driver display present in the standard facelifted Tiago. Also, we might get updated upholstery with a tri-arrow pattern as seen in Tata cars of late.

Now, to the features. The hatch should come with a 7-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, a Harman sound system, and keyless entry. Safety should be taken care of by dual airbags, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors with a camera.

The Tiago NRG will get an 86PS 1.2-litre petrol engine paired with a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT.

Like earlier, the Tiago NRG could retail at a premium of around Rs 28,000 over the standard model, which is priced from Rs 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It will take on the Maruti Suzuki Celerio X.
