The Pulsar range obliterates its rivals, yet again…

Best-selling Bikes Costing Rs 1-2 lakh In India: October 2022

The Rs 1-2 lakh price bracket is an interesting one for bikes in India. Streetfighters, retro nakeds, faired bikes and even cruisers, you get them all without having to shell out a whole lot of money. So let’s see which bikes in this bracket dominated the sales charts this September:

Models

September 2022

Pulsar 125 + NS125

53,153

57,892

Apache RTR Range (TVS Apache RTR 160 2V + RTR 160 4V + RTR 180 + RTR 200 4V)

42,954

Honda Unicorn

36,161

Royal Enfield Classic 350

27,571

Pulsar 150

28,335

24,442

As we’ve come to see in the past couple of months, the Pulsar 125 and NS 125 outsold the competition by quite a margin and registered a healthy nine percent Month-on-Month (MoM) growth.

Unsurprisingly, the Apache range, comprising the Apache RTR 160 2V, Apache RTR 160 4V, Apache RTR 180 and the Apache RTR 200 4V ranks the second in the list, which could also be because of the recently updated Apaches.

The Honda Unicorn was seen occupying the middle position, registering a solid 44.34 percent increase in MoM sales. The evergreen Royal Enfield Classic 350 saw the highest, 45.16 percent increase in MoM sales and occupied the fourth spot. Yet another Pulsar can be seen in the list with the wild card entry of the Pulsar 150. In fact, with the Pulsar N150 in the pipeline, we expect the competition in the sub-150cc category to stiffen up even more. Bajaj has even trademarked the name Darkstar in India recently.
