Looks like Bajaj is gearing up for a festive launch this Diwali

[UPDATE: Bajaj has launched the Pulsar P150 in India. More about in our launch story]

On a recent highway jaunt, our team spied on the upcoming 2022 Bajaj Pulsar N150. This updated motorcycle has been spied a couple of times recently, and is expected to see a festive launch, likely this Diwali. The N150 will be an affordable, frugal and more commuter-centric alternative to the recently launched Pulsar N160.

From all the information that we have gathered so far, the 2022 Bajaj Pulsar N150 is likely to get two variants priced at two very accessible price points thanks to a variation in braking hardware. Next up – and this one is obvious – it looks the same as the Pulsar N250 and N160, though its headlight resembles that on the current Pulsar 150. But of course, to fit the budget of the mass-market buyer, expect Bajaj to cut down on its thrills and frills.

But we think the biggest upside to this new update is its engine. The Pulsar N250 is now the benchmark for all the new hardware we’re seeing on these next-gen Pulsars and the 2022 Pulsar N150 too will likely adopt this platform with more frugal configurations derived from the Pulsar N160 for the commuter market. Yes, the side-slung exhaust will be missing on this one but you’ll get an underbelly one that should ensure the visual and literal mass centralisation.

This should go well with the new chassis that comes with a telescopic fork and rear monoshock. The tyres too, are slimmer than the N160, possibly an 80-section front and a 100-section rear, just like the current-gen Pulsar 150.

Lastly, that neat looking infinity semi-digital N250 instrument cluster is also likely to feature on this new bike which too is a good news in our opinion. Even with all this hardware we are expecting Bajaj to price this at Rs 1.07 lakh to Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). When launched, it will rival the Apache RTR 160, Honda Unicorn 160 and Yamaha FZ Fi.
