If we talk about Tata Tiago, it offers a huge package of comfort and safety features. But there are some features which can't be added afterwards like Key In Reminder, Corner Stability Control, Height Adjustable Driver Seat, etc. On the other hand, if we talk about Tata Altroz XE,As the entry-level variant of the Altroz, the XE doesn’t offer much in terms of comfort. But if you’re stretching your budget for a premium hatchback instead of a mid-spec mid-size hatchback, it is worth considering. In fact, it is the most affordable BS6-compliant offering in the segment as of now with the introductory prices. With the Rhythm Pack(Rs 25,000) you get an infotainment system to the XE variant with a 3.5-inch display, 2 speakers, and Bluetooth connectivity. It also adds dual horn and remote key features to the XE variant of the Altroz. We would not recommend this package as third-party audio systems with more features are readily available in the market at a lower price. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test drive in order to clear your all doubts. check out the authorised dealership details.

Altroz will be better option. I own xza. I will suggest a step up. Basics are same. You can add features of your taste later.
A car takes time to accustom - the Engine, Piston, Fuel Lines all takes time to get lubricated and smoother so initial mileage will be low. It generally takes upto 800 to 1000 kms for your car started to offer a good mileage. While at around 4000 - 5000 kms distance when covered, mileage will be at its best and will stabilize which even gets better on oil change at 7500 - 10,000 kms.In order to improve the mileage, we would suggest you to drive slower. Driving fast can reduce your fuel efficiency by up to 33% if you are traveling above 60 kmph. It is best to change gears appropriately and match the gear and the RPM carefully. Changing the fuel filter on a regular basis will ensure that your car runs smoothly by letting only fuel into the engine instead of another residue from the tank and a clean air filter promotes better combustion which optimizes fuel economy. The tire pressure should be checked at least monthly because properly inflated tires can improve fuel efficiency by up to 3%. You can keep these things in mind while maintaining your car
Its mileage is around 14kmpl - 23kmpl in petrol version and 18-26kmpl in diesel version, it depends on your driving style and traffic and road conditions. I have tested the mileage on highway at speed of 80kmph and cruise control I got mileage of around 23.6kmpl in petrol version.

Tata Alroz is priced between Rs. 5.29 - 9.29 lakh (Ex-Showroom Delhi). In order to know the approx on-road price click on the link and select your city accordingly.
And on average, a mileage of 15 to 18kmpl from petrol version and 22 to 25kmpl from diesel version can be expected in city and highway conditions respectively.
We do not expect any new car under Rs. 8 lakh from Tata anytime soon. Both cars are good enough. If we talk about tata Nexon XE, though it covers the safety aspect with cutthroat pricing, the base XE model is just the bare bones of the sub-4m SUV. There’s absolutely nothing on offer -- not even necessities such as the day and night internal rear-view mirror. Tata skips on a music system as well with this variant, but that can be fitted as an aftermarket accessory. So, it can be considered only when the features are not your priority, you want a basic car only. On the other hand, Altroz offers better feature list and comfortable ride quality at a price. While the Altroz does not manage to set a new standard in the segment, it will fit right into the mix with a long feature list, sharp looks and a comfortable ride. The engine refinement remains to be the major chink in the armor. You may compare both the cars according to their variants too. Do take a test drive in order to get better clarity.
