Maruti Eeco Latest Updates

Maruti has issued a recall of 17,362 units over a faulty airbag controller, which includes units of the Eeco manufactured between December 08 and January 12. In case of a defect in the part, the airbags and seat belt pretensioners might not get actuated during a crash. Maruti’s authorised service centres will contact the owners, inspect and replace the faulty part for free. The carmaker has advised owners of affected vehicles to not drive their vehicles until then.

Maruti Eeco Engine

The Maruti Suzuki Eeco gets a 1.2-litre dual VVT petrol unit producing 81PS and 104Nm. When run in CNG, the output drops to 72PS and 95Nm. Transmission duties are handled by a sole 5-speed manual gearbox. In terms of mileage, the updated petrol unit has an efficiency of 19.71kmpl whereas the CNG unit fares at 26.78 km/kg. The Eeco is 3675 mm long, 1475 mm wide, 1825 mm tall and has a 2350 mm wheelbase.

Maruti Suzuki offers the Eeco in four broad variants: 5-seater standard, 5-seater AC, 5-seater AC CNG, and 7-seater standard.

Maruti Eeco Features

The Maruti Suzuki Eeco features a manual AC with heater, AC filter, digital driver’s display, reclining front seats, an engine immobiliser and a 12 volt accessory socket. Safety is taken care of with dual airbags, child locking doors, ABS and rear parking sensors as standard.
