The TVS Jupiter has been quite a popular scooter and for 2024, has properly been updated to keep up with the competition and the needs of new age customers. It gets a new design, performance updates, new features and more. We spent some time with the new Jupiter 110, riding it around TVS’s test track at their plant in Hosur to get an idea of how it performs and here’s what we think.
The facelifted design of the new Jupiter has a similar silhouette to the older scooter but has a more modern touch. At the front and the rear, it gets LED strips which incorporate the indicators into them. This gives it a more modern look and new piano black panels add to its premium appeal. There are a total of six colour schemes out of which we have the top-variant in the Dawn Blue Matte shade for this review.
The 113.3cc engine also gets updates and now puts out 8.02PS@6,500 rpm and 9.2Nm@5,000 rpm. With all of these updates, TVS also claims that the engine is lighter compared to before. As I got going on the track, the acceleration was nice and linear and the best thing is how refined it feels while getting up to speed. I was able to get to an indicated 87kmph and even at that speed, the engine does not feel stressed. TVS have also added the iGo assist feature which provides torque assist that slightly increases performance when necessary. A notification pops up on the console to let a rider know when the Assist is ready and all they will need to do is slightly blip the throttle to activate the torque assist. After the boost, it goes back to charging and a notification will appear when it's ready again. With the assist on, torque goes up to 9.8Nm. This assist worked well and in the real world, it should translate to helping with quicker and more effortless overtaking. TVS also claims that this system will also give the scooter better fuel efficiency.
Handling is a segment where the TVS Jupiter has always been great. TVS tells us that the updated Jupiter gets a similar chassis to the Jupiter 125 but there are obviously minor tweaks to it to better suit the nature of this Jupiter 110. Out on track, it surely was fun with how it tipped into corners and held a line. After just a few laps, it felt even more confidence inspiring and that is also to do with the sticky TVS Eurogrip tyres. On this top variant that gets a disc brake at the front, the braking feel and performance is also really good. You can grab onto the levers hard and it comes to a halt progressively and provides a rider with good confidence. TVS have also added a feature where if you brake hard when the scooter is above 50kmph the indicators flash to warn riders behind.
The Jupiter now gets the fuel filling cap at the front for added convenience. Alongside it is a glove box and a USB charging port as well. The seat is now a longer unit and gets 33litres of underseat storage which can fit two half face helmets inside of it. This top variant gets a colour LCD screen with bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and a switch to activate the Voice Assist feature. This new screen has good visibility but we shall test it later as our first ride was all about experiencing the performance.
There are four variants of the scooter priced starting at Rs 73,700 and going up to Rs 87,250 (ex-showroom prices). The base variant is a drum brake variant with steel wheels. The second variant also gets a drum brake but with alloy wheels. The third one is also a drum brake variant but with SmartConnectivity as well. And finally, the top-variant gets a disc-brake.

The Rs 73,700 (ex-showroom) price tag keeps it similar to the older model which is nice because you get a lot more on offer. This is a well engineered scooter which is refined, has great handling abilities and sharper looks with a premium finish that will make it appeal to a wider range of riders. Even though this is a commuter family scooter, these new sharper looks and the way it handles added a nice dash of sportiness to the overall experience. It looks like the Jupiter is going to continue to be a popular scooter in our market with even more takers now.
