The test mule spotted looks production-ready, and the roadster could debut at EICMA 2022

New spy shots of the upcoming Bajaj-Triumph roadster have surfaced on the internet, revealing quite a few new details about the motorcycle. The test mule looks production-ready and is likely to make its global debut at EICMA 2022.

The styling of the smallest middleweight motorcycle to roll out from the Hinckley factory has been derived from the bigger siblings of the Bonneville family. From its small, circular LED headlight to the side panels and even the LED tail light, everything is just how you’d expect from Triumph, including the compact indicators and the engine casing. This test mule also sported a new instrument console with what seems to be a TFT unit.

While the engine capacity remains a mystery, the Bajaj-Triumph roadster could have a liquid-cooled 350cc unit. The new motorcycle could also come equipped with a six-speed transmission with slipper clutch.

The test mule spotted sported premium hardware too. This roadster gets a USD fork and monoshock setup; and to drop the anchor, the bike features disc brakes at both ends with a radial caliper up front. This roadster could also get dual-channel ABS as standard. It runs on 17-inch alloy wheels shod with Metzeler M5 tyres.

The upcoming Bajaj-Triumph roadster could make its global debut later this year followed by an  Indian launch next year. We expect this bike to come with a price tag of Rs 2.25 lakh (ex-showroom). With this pricing, it would compete against the likes of the Honda CB300R, BMW G310R and the KTM 390 Duke.
