Triumph Speed 400 New Variant To Be Launched Soon

We’ve just received an official invitation from Triumph, and we think it’ll be a new addition to their 400cc lineup on September 17. This new addition is expected to be a more attractive version of the Triumph Speed 400. 

The new bike showcased on the invite will likely be a variant of the Speed 400, maybe a more attractive one with updated colour schemes and graphics. . The bike is expected to feature the same round headlight and tank design found on the Triumph Speed 400. 

Built on the same platform as the Speed 400, the new Speed 400 variant will share several components, bar-end mirrors, 43mm inverted fork and a gas-charged, preload-adjustable monoshock. The braking system will likely remain the same, with a 300mm front disc and a 230mm rear disc.

The new 400 will be powered by the same 399cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine found in the Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400 X. This engine delivers 40PS at 8000 rpm and 37.5Nm at 6500 rpm, paired with features like a ride-by-wire throttle and a slip and assist clutch.

The bike is expected to be priced just between the Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400 X, around Rs 2.45 lakh (ex-showroom). The upcoming Speed 400 variant will go against the likes of the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450, Harley Davidson 440X and the Hero Mavrick 440.
