Upcoming Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z & NS200 To Get Smarter: Spotted At A Dealership

Bajaj has recently been on a roll and has launched multiple bikes in the past few months. Some completely new with major updates, like the new Bajaj Pulsar 125 and the Pulsar 150, and some with a few mechanical changes, such as the Pulsar N160 4V. But one thing is common between these bikes: all of them get a brand-new TFT console. It was only a matter of time that other Pulsars got the same console, and now we have the Pulsar NS200 and the Pulsar NS400Z being spotted at the dealership with the updated unit.

The Bajaj Pulsar NS200 has been due for an update for quite some time now. The last update it received was of the LCD console and an LED headlight. Apart from that, the motorcycle has largely remained unchanged. The updated model which was spotted at a dealership yard gets a new TFT display. It is the same unit which first made its debut on the Pulsar N160 SS (it was the first Bajaj bike too!). Thanks to the new TFT, the bike also gets updated switchgear to navigate through the console. We know that the TFT console features mobile connectivity features which enables Google Maps mirroring. But since the N160 4V got ride modes, thanks to ride-by-wire, we expect the Pulsar NS200 to get the same.

There was another Pulsar NS200 spotted which featured the same LCD console as the current unit. This means that the bike will have multiple variants. The base variant will likely feature an LCD console with single-channel ABS and a telescopic fork, while the top variant will get the TFT, dual-channel ABS and an inverted fork. But, we recently saw another Pulsar NS200 being spied testing, which featured a WP fork.

All said and done, apart from the feature updates, we expect the bike to remain mechanically unchanged. It will continue to be powered by the same 199cc single-cyliner liquid-cooled engine, which produces 24.5 PS and 18.74 Nm and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

The Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z too was spotted at the dealership yard with the same TFT console. It moves away from the colour LCD unit with dot-matrix inset, which was quite cluttered. The TFT display, combined with the new switchgear, will make reading the figures and navigating through the different ride modes much easier.

It is expected to come in a single variant and will remain mechanically unchanged. 

Price & Launch Timelines 

Currently, the NS200’s price starts at Rs 1,38,302 and Rs 1,48,603 for the top variant, while the NS400Z is priced at Rs 1,86,015. Both prices are ex-showroom Delhi, respectively. Once launched, the bikes are expected to command a premium of around Rs 6,000 over the outgoing versions. Since the bikes have started to arrive at dealerships, we can expect the official launch to happen soon, most likely before the festive season.

After the smaller Pulsars got the TFT unit, it was inevitable that the bigger Pulsars too got the same unit. We know that the Pulsar N250 was spied and now we have the NS200 and the NS400Z with the new console. Sooner or later, the remaining Pulsar bikes, such as the Pulsar 220F, RS200, Pulsar 180, Pulsar NS160, Pulsar NS125 will also feature the same TFT display, and are expected to launch in the coming months.
