Expert's Opinion on 200 Duke
Overview

Perfect Streetfighter?
- KTM India began their journey with the 200 Duke. It is an iconic motorcycle which boosted the popularity of the brand in the country. With the Gen 2 update, the bike has received a brand new look and feel. Latest update added a new TFT console and more features.
Design

Sharp Looks
- Looks are inspired from the larger 1290 Super Duke R, featuring a sharp headlight and tank extensions
- Gets the same LED headlight as the previous-gen 390 Duke
- Looks entirely different compared to the first-gen Duke and feels larger due to the longer subframe
- Has strong road presence and attracts attention
- Available in 2 colours: Electronic Orange & Dark Galvano
- Gets an underbelly exhaust with a small bash plate, but it does not fully cover the exhaust components
Performance & Mileage

Powerful & Lively
- Powered by a 199cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine making 25PS & 19.2Nm
- Retains the peppy performance of the previous-generation model
- Sufficient power for city rides as well as high speed overtakes on the highway
- Can comfortably cruise at highway speeds
- Vibrations are noticeable on the fuel tank and footpegs after 6,000rpm
Handling

Nimble & Agile
- Offers sharp handling, is lightweight and rides through traffic easily
- Inspires confidence & rides around corners very well, making mid corner line corrections easy
- Wider handlebar provide better control especially on tight turns
- Has powerful brakes with good bite and feedback
- Comes with Supermoto ABS, allowing the rider to switch off rear ABS
Ride Quality

Sporty Yet Comfortable
- The suspension setup is on the stiffer side, but can absorb small bumps & potholes
- Despite its lightweight, the 200 Duke remains stable at high speeds
- It’s a practical bike which provides a good ride quality, balancing comfort & performance
- Suspension has a sporty setup which requires you to slow down considerably for the larger bumps
Comfort & Storage

Good for Short & Long Rides
- Has a decently padded, sporty & spacious seat, which is not too soft
- Easy to reach handlebar & mid-set footpegs offers comfortable & upright riding posture
- Now weighs 159kg, 9kg heavier than before
- With an 822mm seat height, it may be difficult for shorter riders to get both feet on the ground
- There is windblast on triple digit speeds due to the absence of a visor
- The high pillion seat could be uncomfortable for the passenger
Features

Gets More Than Ever
- Features a new 5-inch TFT instrument cluster & switchgear from the 390 Duke
- Gets turn-by-turn navigation, call/SMS alerts ride-by-wire throttle, bidirectional quickshifter, lap timer, & more
