Interesting launches and disappointing price hikes have kept things busy this week

This week has seen its fair share of ups and downs thanks to new launches, deliveries and price hikes. Manufacturers like TVS, Jawa and Piaggio have been busy with their new offerings. Here’s our top five picks from the world of two wheelers:

TVS Scooty Zest 110 launch & price hikes:

TVS launched the BS6-compliant version of the popular Scooty Zest 110. It bears a nominal premium but the bigger news is that it is in fact more powerful than the Jupiter BS6. Ducati Panigale V2 Incoming:

Ducati’s first BS6-compliant motorcycle, the Panigale V2, is all set to be launched in India real soon. This supersport replaces the 959 Panigale and will be the most affordable track tamer under the Panigale range. The Italian manufacturer revealed an extremely gorgeous looking white colour scheme for the Panigale V2 last month. However, the bad news is….

Piaggio India has launched the BS6-compliant facelifted versions of its Vespa lineup in India after unveiling them at Auto Expo 2020 in February. You’ll be shocked at the sticker price though. What’s more, its sportier daughter company, Aprilia has a treat for scooter enthusiasts too

The BS6-compliant Triumph Street Triple RS, when launched, was priced the same as the BS4-compliant version despite a bunch of upgrades. However, like all good things in life, this was short-lived as the British marque has now updated the prices. Here’s the new pricing.

Jawa Perak hits the road:


The deliveries of the Jawa Perak have commenced in the country after its launch back in November 2019. The deliveries were initially supposed to commence from April 2 but the coronavirus pandemic delayed things a bit. But Jawa has compensated for the delay, in a way.
