Suzuki GSX-S1000 and GSX-S1000F recalled in India

The recently launched Suzuki GSX-S1000 and GSX-S1000F have been recalled owing to a radiator hose clearance defect. The affected part will be replaced free of cost and customers will be officials notified soon

Suzuki has issued a recall for the GSX-S1000 and GSX-S1000F performance motorcycles. Since both the motorcycles were recently launched in India and have been brought in via the CBU route, the Indian models are also affected. According to the Japanese two-wheeler giant, there have been some issues with the radiator hose clearance and for this purpose both the bikes have been recalled. The faulty parts on both the motorcycles in India will be replaced free of cost and the customers will be soon notified.

The Suzuki GSX-S1000F and GSX-S1000’s motor produces 146PS of peak power at 10,000rpm and 106Nm of peak torque at 9,500rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox that transmits power via chain drive. The power output of 146PS makes the Suzuki GSX-S1000 the second most powerful litre-class Japanese streetbike behind the Yamaha FZ1 and other rivals in the Indian market includes the Kawasaki Z1000 and the Honda CB1000. The Suzuki GSX-S1000F and GSX-S1000 tip the scale at 214kg and 209kg respectively. The Suzuki GSX-S1000F will squarely rival the Kawasaki Z1000 and the Kawasaki Ninja 1000 in our market. The Suzuki GSX-S1000 and GSX-S1000F are both available in two shades of Candy Daring Red / Glass Sparkle Black and Metallic Triton Blue. It features a three-way selectable traction control system and ABS. The Suzuki GSX-S1000 and the GSX-S1000F are priced at Rs 12.25 lakh and Rs 12.70 lakh respectively.
